Every thing you could possibly need for a great holiday at 2 Nissi view.
Another fantastic holiday in Alan and Barbara's villa. I haven't got much to add to the review I left in 2014, this villa has everything you need, the location is perfect, far enough away to be peaceful and quiet but close enough to easily reach the shops, bars and restaurants. The villa is not overlooked at the back so the pool area is very private. Alan and Barbara are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I love staying at this villa
Fabulous Villa in Great Location
We had a wonderful stay in Alan and Barbara's villa in July 2016. It is a beautiful villa in a peaceful location but close enough to explore Ayia Napa without the need for a car. The villa is spacious and equipped with everything you need for the perfect holiday. The pool area was fab and has plenty of room to eat and relax and we spent most of our time there. The villa has added lovely little touches like a water cooler, beach towels in every bedroom and even a few welcome items in the fridge. We had a great holiday and are already hoping and planning to return next year
Fantastic Villa! Ideal family holiday home!
My family and I stayed at Alan and Barbara Toon's villa for a week in mid June 2016 to attend my older brother's wedding in Ayia Napa.
The villa itself was fantastic: Four bedrooms, two of them on suites, and a decent size and depth swimming pool!
The owners' experience of staying at the villa themselves was obvious as we wanted for nothing; it had everything one might need, including local taxi cards, leaflets on things to do, places to visit, recommended local shops and restaurants. We even found to our surprise that the water is drinkable - we had anticipated using only bottled water.
The local shops were very friendly and appreciative of our custom, the prices were cheaper than in Spain and the weather was hotter and better (based on past holidays in Majorca).
There was a reasonable choice of night life in the busy centre of Ayia Napa (a 25 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride away).
We experienced a couple of power outtages but these weren't confined to the villa - parts of Nissi Avenue were also affected.
As a family we really enjoyed dining out at different places when it suited rather than be tied to a hotel at certain times.
This was my first visit to Cyprus and I absolutely loved it, and have decided I must go there again. I would also do my best to stay in Alan and Barbara's villa again if I can persuade enough family or friends to join me again on holiday! Highly recommended - I cannot praise it enough!
Lovely Villa close to all you need
We booked this villa to have a holiday whilst being close to a family wedding. Alan and Barbara's villa is lovely, well decorated and very fully equipped for everything you may need for your stay in Cyprus. Having a car on hire is not essential but means that you have all the flexibility you may wish for. The strip is only a few minutes walk with access to many nice restaurants. The owners offered any support or help required to make our stay perfect. We had a fantastic time and would consider staying at Nissi View again on visiting Cyprus as it is one of the best villas we have stayed in during many years of travelling and renting holiday homes.
Special interest holidays:
The area, the villa is located, is a superb base for those who would like something different, If you like to walk or cycle there are miles of off the beaten track areas to explore. You can walk/cycle between Nissi Beach to Ayia Napa Harbour and then onto Protaras if you wish. In between Ayia Napa and Protaras you will find Cape Greko National Park, with all of flora and fauna, coves and sea front caves to explore. Horse riding is also available in Cape Greko. About an hours drive you will find the Troodos Mountain range with all its trails and traditions to explore, if you go onto the top of Mt Olympus on a clear day you can see all of the islands coastline. A truly fantastic sight. If you would like to learn how to Scuba dive I would recommend 'Lucky Divers' in Ayia Napa, they will take you down to Nissi Beach and take you through the basics of diving, then it's off into the Turquoise water to have the experience of a life time. For those experienced divers, dive sites are aplenty.
6 minutes walk will take you to the nearest beach which is the beautiful Sandy Bay. This is a small enclave with lovely blue water there is a beach shack serving drinks and meals, also a few water sports, sunbeds can be hired. A further 5 minutes walk along the beach front path is Nissi Beach, this is a lot more lively, DJ music all water sports, bars, restaurants, 15 minute walk takes you to various other secluded beaches, Macronnisis, Lantra and Ayia Thekla.
The nearest airport is Larnaca it will take you approx 35 mins in a taxi to reach the villa, and cost about 95 Euros Return (We can arrange transfers). The position of the villa means that you do not need a car, but if you do like to explore, car hire is not that expensive, the Cypriots drive on the same side of the road as the British. All of the road signs are in English and Greek so you will always know where you are. Paphos Airport is around 2hrs drive, all motorway.
The centre of Ayia Napa & the old Monastery are 15 min walk away. The nearest bars, restaurants, shops are less than 5 min walk. Water world the huge water park is 15/20 mins walk away. Everything is close by. If you want to explore, the bus stop is 5 min walk with regular buses to Protaras (Fig Tree Bay), Cape Greco (Konnos Beach) and Paralimni the nearest town. Taxis are cheap if you want to go into the small tavernas in the villages to try out the real Cyprus (take a tour on the Big Red Bus).
Cyprus has approx 340 days of sunshine each year, with a hot summer and mild winters. In the winter months you can go skiing and the drive back to the villa and do some sunbathing. English is widely spoken and there are a enough banks and cash machines to cater for all your needs. If you like walking, cycling, being informed or entertained or just relaxing Cyprus has it all. The small villages of Sotira, Freneros and Vrysoulles, surrounding Ayia Napa are full of great little Tavernas where you can eat and drink all night. Hire a car and go exploring, if go to Nicosia the only city in the world which is split by two countries, Viewing points allow you to see the Turkish and the Cypriot sides of the divided city together. Now you can even cross the border on foot and dine and drink in the other side of Cyprus. Drive up to the Troodos and go to Mt Olympus, the views are simply breathtaking the little mountain villages offer all sorts of different experiences from wine tasting and dancing to simply sitting down for a meal and enjoying the local way of life. Walk along into Ayia Napa harbour and take a boat trip to see the Deserted City of Famagusta, or a trip on The Black Pearl Pirate ship for fun and entertainment do some diving or swimming then chill out. There is so much to do you simply cannot list it all, try Cyprus and have a great holiday, and the one thing you're certain to do is, come back again.
