Johns apartment is very nice and great views and could not fault it , we will return in the future.
We will go back to Port St Charles in the future but not there in September ,we have visited in the past and enjoyed the Yacht bar which we new would be closed for food over this period but were told we would be able to get a drink, but on arrival we were told its closed until October so the main pool had a bar that had only water, coke and a few beers and you signed for them as there was no body there. If you like peace and solitude and the pool to yourself and the odd Turtle popping his head out of the water its great but there is nothing going on and most of the restaurants are closed at this time of year .November to March is the best time to go .
Wonderful vacation! Great beaches, property, amenities.
Just returning from a wonderful stay. We loved the airy accommodations. Kids loved waking up and seeing fish/sea turtles in the lagoon. Proximity of the unit to the pool is wonderful. The water taxi and all staff working it were great. Beach exceeded expectations and turquoise waters were calm and inviting. Location of Port St. Charles to Speightstown was the perfect distance for a nice walk into eat lunch, dinner or buy groceries.
Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely unit! We are planning to return!
This is our second stay at Port St Charles we will return
Picture perfect apartment did not want to leave
Lovely apartment everything we needed was on hand very relaxed holiday beautiful place
Will definitely book the same apartment again without any hesitation
A Caribbean Delight
We spent a week at John's luxury villa and we could not have been happier with our choice of accommodation. Everything that was promised was delivered and more. The villa was emaculately kept as was the property. Our view from the balcony was spectacular. Our mornings started off at the fitness centre. Then it was on to the pool. Each afternoon found us at the beach, which has to be one of the nicest beaches on the island. And what sunsets! We decided to rent a car from the airport, which ended up being a good idea. It allowed us to have a daily excursion. Our destinations included the Atlantis Hotel, Bathsheba beach, the Crane Resort, Flower Animal Cave and St. Nicholas Abbey. The staff at Port St Charles were super friendly and went out of their way to make our stay a memorable experience. The best thing that we can say about John's villa is that we will be back!
We had another amazing stay at Port St Charles ,as our friends own a beach appartments on the complex we knew we loved it here, and whilst sitting on our balcony we could see across to our friends house .
Johns appartment had everything you could need for your stay including plenty of bedding clean towels and beach towels instructions for everything in the appartment so no guessing ,great view of the lagoon and sea beyond .
We would definately stay here again if there was one thing that did disappoint it was the fact that in your advert it says there is a cleaner unfortunately no one stepped foot inside the appartment the whole time we where there ,so it was down to me to change the bed and towels etc and clean which isn't the end of the world but not something I have ever had to do before on holiday.....but that said it didn't ruin the holiday in any way shape or form and as long as you know this before hand you want be disappointed .
We would definately love to say in Johns Appartment again
Easy transaction on arrival and obtaining keys from Vikki and again when leaving a taxi was arrange by Vikki .
Feeling very relaxed can't wait to return to Barbados at Christmas
Once again many thanks John
We have full maid service available and we leave it to the guest to arrange the best times and days. There is a phone in the apartment with both the reception and housekeeping numbers listed. Alternatively the guest can go to reception to arrange. The time to enquire about the maid service is whilst on holiday not in a review.
Glad they enjoyed the stay.
Marina Condo Heywoods Beach, St. Peter
We have stayed in this resort for the last three years and have become very fond of it. We have visited Barbados a number of times over the years, sometimes staying closer to Holetown and St. Lawrence Gap where it is busier, but prefer the tranquility of the marina resort, the wonderful Heywoods Beach that is calm enough for young children, and the view of the boating activity in the marina.
We stayed in a spacious, well maintained one bedroom unit that includes daily housekeeping and free WiFi. It is on the second floor and has a very large balcony with a lovely view of the pool and marina and the ocean beyond. We appreciate being able to walk to Speightstown for our groceries, and often walk up to Six Men's Bay to buy fish for supper. To get around the island it is easy to use the local big blue buses (which are excellent value at $2 Barbados per ride) as the Speightstown bus terminal is within easy walking distance. This year we went to the Holetown festival, Bathsheba, River Bay and the Northeast coast, Oistins and Bridgetown, all by bus. We enjoy swimming and snorkeling off Heywoods Beach every day, and often use the marina's free water taxi to get to the beach although it is just in front of the resort. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, with two tennis courts, and the staff, especially the ladies at the reception desk, are very helpful and friendly. The owner of our unit, from England, is responsive and reliable and we appreciate being able to pay using Paypal.
Sitting on the veranda in the evening with a cool drink and watching the magnificent sunset over Heywoods Beach comes pretty close to paradise, in large part because Barbados is such a wonderful island with very friendly people. Now if only I could get my sailboat into one of those slips to enjoy the constant 10-15 knot winds.
