This beautifully renovated, semi-detached cottage is set in a delightful rural location, which backs a woodland. The cottage has exposed beams and a welcoming inglenook fireplace, complete with wood burner and a sunny terrace, perfect for enjoying breakfast whilst listening to the birdsong within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ideally suited for two couples or a family, the first floor is accessed via two independent staircases, with one double bedroom and separate bathroom on one side and the master bedroom and single bedroom on the other side, which shares an en-suite Jack and Jill shower room. The fairy tale moated Bodiam Castle is a neighbour and is within walking distance from the cottage. Take a boat from Bodiam along the tranquil River Rother, or experience the excitement of steam travel aboard the Kent and East Sussex Railway. Book yourself on a bakery course at The Lighthouse Bakery School and try wine tasting at the award-winning vineyards, including Chapel Down, Carr Taylor, Sedlescombe and Biddenden. Marvel at the floral displays at Great Dixter Pashley Manor and Merriments. The coastal town of Hastings is approximately 11 miles away and there you will find the Shipwreck Museum and the Fishermen’s Museum. You can also find out about the history of smuggling at Smugglers Adventure, at St Clements Caves. If you would like a day out in London there are good train links from Robertsbridge.
