About Lindsay or Steve
We are passionate about providing our guests with the best holiday experience possible & can’t wait to see some familiar faces along with new ones. We look forward to welcoming all past & future guests to Chalet Amuse Bouche, our ‘Escape to the Alps’. Our adventures all started back in 2003 when we gave up our corporate careers to open a restaurant in Kent, England. We were selected & filmed as part of Channel 4’s ‘Risking it All’ series & our episode was first screened in 2005. After building up a good business with a great reputation, we decided to sell up & move to France in 2007. Since then we've converted a barn to a Gite which was very successful business which we sold last year to assist our dream of running a chalet in the Alps.
Why Lindsay or Steve chose Montriond
The Alps is a fantastic area with amazing views that change with the Seasons. After many conversions/renovations this time we built from scratch. This means that we've been able to design it with the guests in mind. A luxury chalet with all the mod cons and great facilities.
What makes this Chalet unique
Great view from the balcony, terrace or hot tub, sauna, treatment room, games room, UK TV, Xbox 360, videos, games, books, table tennis, darts and just a stroll from Morzine town in a relaxing, peaceful spot but close enough to the action should you want it and only 6 minutes to the chair lifts giving quick access to ski the whole of the Portes du Soleil
Not permitted inside the chalet, outside only.
Please no out door shoes inside the chalet, to ensure comfort for all guests.
Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.
Perfection in the French Alps
This is Steve and Lindsays third venture and, like a good wine, each taste that we have enjoyed has got better.
The Chalet is outstanding, with wonderful attention to detail, decor and comfort. Steve and Lindsay have left no room for dissappointment.
Being south facing, we enjoyed the sun from dawn to dusk.
Morzine is only a short walk, hosting all the facilities required for both seasons....peace and quiet, but not isolated.
The wonderful breakfasts and candlelit dinner on the balcony brought back memories of their very successful Blue Vinney restaurant in Kent.
From this central Alps base we had easy access to both Lake Leman (recommend Yvoire), the mountain passes to the south and local ski lifts for summer walks. Mt Blanc was a memorable way to end our last day.
We will certainly be returning!
Maison bien entretenue, décorée avec goût, orientée au sud. Très bon accueil de l'hébergeur disponible en cas de besoin. Chalet bien situé pour un départ en direction du lac de Montriond. Zone très calme sans bruit de circulation.
Merci beaucoup Micheal
As we are located in the mountains we are are in a fantastic location for skiing with quick easy access to the whole of the Portes du Soleil (650km of pistes). However, you can enjoy bathing and swimming at Lac Montriond in the Summer which can be accessed by foot, away from the roads, within 20 minutes from the chalet or 5 minutes by car. You can also venture down to Lac Leman to enjoy the beaches on the edge of the lake within 40 minutes. Morzine also has a great olympic sized outdoor swimming pool as well as an indoor pool and slides for the children.
The nearest Airport is Geneva, Switzerland. Approximately 1 hr 20 mins transfer time. Airlines using Geneva include Easyjet, BA, Swissair, BA, Flybe.
By train, the nearest rail stations are Cluses or Thonon.
Driving from Calais will take approximately 8 hours
Montriond Village is within 10 minutes walk and Morzine centre is a 35-40min minute walk (3-5 mins by car) Lac Montriond can be reached by foot in 20 minutes and the nearest ski lifts are 8 minutes by our private minibus transfers.

Whether you want to chill out, relax and enjoy the mountain air or participate in the many extreme sports on offer in the area, there is something for everyone with 650km of pistes for skiing in the Portes du Soleil from France to Switzerland. There is so much to do, you can leave the car at the chalet and explore by foot or bike, or for those that want to travel further afield you can enjoy the views from the winding mountain roads from the comfort of your car. Not to mention there are an abundance of good restaurants, cafes and bars.
In the Winter it's a great place for skiing and snow boarding, but the Summer has a great deal to offer including:
Indoor and Outdoor swimming Pools
Hot-dog (small boat similar to a raft, but smaller)
Hydro speeding (white water swimming using a float and flippers)
2 zip wire tree circuits
