Also, a welcome basket is waiting for you!
The apartment has been completely refurbished since our first visit. It is absolutely lovely, lots of small details which help to make a perfect stay. Although we knew the way Toni still came out and helped us with our bags. They had kindly stocked up with essentials for us - really appreciated. We had fabulous weather and enjoyed our time here very much. We never usually go back to the same place but I hope we are lucky enough to come back here for a third time one day.
This apartment was an absolute joy to come home to after milling with the throngs of tourists in the centre of Dubrovnik old town. It was cool, white and calm and spotlessly clean with everything that we could possibly have needed. Tony's parents-in-law, next door, were so friendly and accommodating. We felt privileged to be able to sit under the vines on the terrace surrounded by cats and kittens and listen to the comments of the tourists walking the wall just above. There were 154 steps from the main street to the apartment which were somewhat challenging in the heat but always worth the climb to reach this gem of an apartment. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough.
We stayed with our two children in this lovely appartment in april around eastern for two weeks this year.
After arrival we got a nice detour (by the owners son in law) through Dubrovnik and a fully filled welcom "survival" basket was waiting for us in the appartment which provided us with everything we needed for the first morning.
The well equiped and clean Appartment is adjacent the old city wall and has a beautiful terrace and garden, it is situated in the old town and only a few hundred meters away from the port. The owners are a very friendly couple, they and their family were more than willing to help us. They made us feel very welcome and treated our children most lovely.
Dubrovnik is a beautiful and interesting city with a great number of fantastic locations to discover (make sure to go to lokrum), beware though, exploring Dubrovnik will get you to climb a lot of stairs as well ;-), but it's worth it. Especially if you return after a day, to the oasis of quietness of this appartment.
Thank you very much, we really liked it here and we'd recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Dubrovnik.
Don't be put off by the steps climbed at the start of your holiday...the first time is always the worst! Seriously though, we found a less arduous way from the town. Turn right out of the main entrance and follow the path at the base of the walls - much less steep. The Old Town has a lot of steps!! However the hard work is worth it.
This apartment is one of the most thought about ones we have ever stayed in. You name it, it's there, from washing up liquid to jam to shower gel. Amazing attention to detail!
Thank you to Vicko for all the kindness and concern you showed during our stay.
We just came back from this wonderful Dalmatian trip and we are very happy that we have chosen this place for our last 10 days in Croatia. At first we want to mention the very nice warm hearted owners of this apartment who live next to it. At our arrival they organized some help for the luggage because you can't go by car trough the old town of Dubrovnik. We were walking trough these small lanes and up all the old stairs full of tourists and came to a wonderful quiet oasis: A beautiful garden with roses, palms and many more well cared plants. Two black and a white cat decorated the lawn (later the best friends of our children:)) The old town wall bounds the garden, so you see people walking on the top till 7 pm. We found it funny because they say things like "Oooow, look at this beautiful garden, I would like to live like that". The terrace has a roof of wine with grapes, so they can't really see you. You just hear them sometimes, but it wasn't disturbing at all. Vicko opened the door and explained everything. Whenever we had questions or needed anything we could knock on his door. On the kitchen table there was a welcome basket with wine, bread, fresh fruits, coffee and in the fridge they put jam, honey, butter, milk, beer and grapes. So everything starts relaxing here! The apartment was very clean and we had many towels and bedding. Our children (4 and 7) discovered immediately the big flatscreen TV (which you actually don't need at all in such a nice place). But In every detail, you realize that the owners are interested in your satisfaction. And even you should not be satisfied with anything, I am sure Vicko and his wife will find a solution. This apartment is suitable for people with children as well as for couples. We always wanted to make a holiday in an old town, but when you have children you need space like a garden or a big terrace. Normally you don't find this. But here you have everything: A big terrace, a garden, many activities around. There even is a small playground a few steps from the apartment. No cars or mopeds are allowed in the old town so the children can play and run everywhere without danger. 200 meters from the apartment there is a nice bar in the rocks where you can also go swimming and snorkeling in a beautiful clear water. In a 10 minutes walk you reach a nice beach and anyway: everything is near! Restaurants, Supermarkets, Sightseeing etc. We would always recommend and visit again this apartment!!! Greetings from Berlin
My wife and I loved our stay at this charming efficiency apartment nestled in the heart of old town Dubrovnik. While not offering the luxury amenities of a world class hotel, this apartment more than made up for it in terms of convenience and charm. We were looking for a great base camp nestled in the heart of the Old City to have our many adventures and this spot fit the bill. Toni and his father were great hosts making sure we were well taken care of along the way. Nestled right against the wall of the city, it offered a clean, safe, and super convenient opportunity to explore this gorgeous city. Highly recommended for those looking for an alternative to overpriced, stuffy hotels and looking to capture some of the old world charm of Croatia.
Dubrovnik also known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' is one of the most prominent tourist destinations on the Adriatic. In 1979, the Old City of Dubrovnik joined the Unesco list of World Heritage Sites. Well known for its famous history when it was a republic, Dubrovnik was one of the most prosperous city-states of the Mediterranean region in that time, which built its wealth with skilled diplomacy and its large merchant navy. Apart from its many museums, churches, monasteries and restaurants the most spectacular feature of Dubrovnik is its City Walls that run 2km around the city with its many turrets and towers, Dubrovnik is also well known for its many beautiful beaches, crystal blue sea and its night life with many bars and clubs to discover.
The listed rates include all taxes and other charges so no additional charges such as charge for changing linen and towels or using wi-fi internet are necessary.
