Unfortunately it's not great.
Although the cottage is clean and tidy, there is a general lack of essentials for up to 6 people. No welcome or information pack is also disappointing. There was plenty of leaflets but most are out of date, even though Cornwall council hand out a free pack, which we obtain from the local pub - Brettle and Chisel.
A lack of kitchen utensils , not a wine glass. A lack of plates made meal times difficult. The down stairs needs a bit of TLC and could do with a redecorating at the least. Upstairs is better though.
The bath is very narrow and rust around the plug hole is a concern. There's a whole in the base of the double bed.
The garden had 10+ black bags of old garden waste in them left lying around in the garden, no outside furniture meant you had nowhere to sit and relax outside.
It's also next to a main road which doesn't seem to appear in the photos and general information.
Thankyou for your time in writing the review. I have contacted the cottage owner who does not geel your account gives an accurate impression of her accommodation. For instance, there was no-one in the cottage for 6 weeks prior to your arrival so the owner paid a gardener to make the garden ready just before you came so it was all in good state for your arrival, hence garden waste waiting to be collected during the week on appointed day. The cottage owner went through the kitchen with her cleaner to check crockery items prior to the visitors arrival. However, she is sorry you felt disappointed but lives in the village and left contact details in case you needed anything.
