Lovely spacious cottage and garden
We really enjoyed our stay at Swallow Barn on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The property was a great size and nicely laid out. The garden was lots of fun and a great place to relax in the evening either in the garden lodge, on the deck or patio. The location provides easy access to Kendal, Windermere or Keswick plus the wonderful Haweswater just up the road.

Beautiful place, Amazing setting!
The Swallow Barn is a beautiful place in an amazing setting. It is well appointed, was very clean, and is a great place for a family. The location is great as we could get everywhere in the Lake District we wanted to go in under an hour. Ahmad is a great host, very attentive, and his communication was great before, during, and after our stay. I would highly recommend Swallow Barn.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location!
We have had a great time with this beautiful little cottage as our base. The location is perfect and the cottage itself is brilliant. Really well equipped and lovely layout and decoration, everything you need and the ensuite shower is amazing! The owner kept in touch so we we're confident of how we check in/out and made sure we were happy with everything! Really great place to stay and can definitely recommend.

Live in the north west of England with my wife Andrea. We love the lake district and enjoy walking there. Swallow Barn is an excellent place for exploring the lakes and the yorkshire dales. We have a lady who lives locally and looks after the change over and cleaning for guests. She is excellent. She lives near to Swallow Barn and so is immediately available if any problems occur. Swallow Barn is home from home and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

PEACEFUL AND COSY, BEAUTIFUL VIEWS AND GREAT LOCATION WITH PRIVATE PARKING AND A LARGE GARDEN
Your pet is welcome at swallow barn. Our only requests are as shown on the web site advert - that they sleep in hallway/utility room, are not permitted in bedrooms or food preparation areas and that you thoroughly clean up after them daily (especially if they have been on the field/garden). Please don’t leave them unattended at any time at swallow barn. If they are outside please ensure you close the gate to swallow barn and take all measures you need to contain them within the grounds of the property/garden etc and keep a close eye on them at all times. Please also check all boundary walls, fences, gates etc and make sure you are satisfied with their condition for safe containment of your pet within the grounds of the property before you let them out. It is your responsibility to check this to ensure your pet(s) are safe. Thank you.
