Completely refurbished in 2013 and upgraded for the 2016 season, Paddock Wood Cottage is privately situated and accessed through electric security gates, with ample parking spaces. Set in an acre of landscaped gardens, it enjoys beautiful open countryside views. A full sized grass tennis court for recreational family use (abundance of rackets and balls provided). Just a few hundred metres away in the same village is Wales No.1 Family Holiday attraction 'Folly Farm'. We also have close by; Dinosaur park, Heatherton, Oakwood leisure park, Bluestone National Park Resort, Manor House Park plus some beautiful castles. Caldy Island is just a short boat trip away, come and experience the diversity of our county you wont be disappointed. We have lots of information on the best local restaurants, top attractions, best beaches, walks, and family days out, just ask.

About Mrs Sharon Owen

Mark and Sharon Owen have been holiday letting Paddock Wood Cottage for the past 20 years. Since retiring last year we have completely refurbished the property and look forward to welcoming our loyal returning guests, many of which over the years have become good friends. By extending our season we hope to welcome lots of new visitors.

Our main hobby is tending the extensive grounds which cover over an acre and include many floral displays.

This property benefits from being open plan which gives a great feeling of interior space. The grounds enjoy open countryside views, has a tennis court size lawn and ample parking for extra cars. Paddock Wood has the security of electric gates and is completely safe for children playing in the gardens. New for 2015/16 a designated Games Room equipped with full size snooker table and childs size snooker table, table tennis, Darts and many board games etc

We had an amazing week at Paddock Wood Cottage. It is perfectly situated for touring the gorgeous Pembrokeshire coast and has a plethora of attractions for kids nearby, including the excellent Folly Farm just 500 yards away! We loved the cottage and will be back, thanks Mark & Sharon!

Notes on accommodation: This property is newly refurbished to a high standard for bookings in 2013 with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. This property is non-smoking and we do not accept pets. Paddock Wood Cottage has for 2015 its own broadband installation. This cottage is also ideally suited for RETIRED COUPLES and we would give a generous discount for all out of season dates booked. Please ring for details. Outside: Property set in an acre of landscaped gardens with pretty floral displays. Use of full sized grass family recreational tennis court. Large wooden table and chairs plus parasol. BBQ on request. Full size trampoline, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times during use. Rustic design swing and slide set for smaller children. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The cottage is cleaned throughout weekly, with Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels provided for cottage use only. Please bring your own beach towels. Other: We have a new family games room for 2015 including; full size snooker table, child's size snooker table, Adult and Children's Dart Boards, outdoor and indoor Table Tennis tables, and various board games.

Beautiful cottage

Just returned from a long weekend at the cottage. Had a lovely time. Cottage is clean, modern, spacious, beautifully decorated and so central to family attractions such as Folly Farm and Heatherton. Tenby and Saundersfoot are also only a stones throw away. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back and would certainly recommend.

lovely cottage great location

Lovely little cottage that is exactly as you see it in the pictures. Spotless and has everything you need.Ideal for kids with the bunk beds and games room as well as garden games. Loads of DVD's etc. Really close to Folly Farm and close to shops and take-away's. Ideal property to rent if you were going with friends or family as there is also another 3 bed house and a double bed apartment to rent within the same yard. We definitely recommend this house, Mark and Sharon are lovely to deal with and would go out of their way to help you in any way. Sharon even offered to bring me and my little one to the doctor as she was feeling unwell during our stay. Mark was always on hand if we needed anything. Thank you for a lovely week and hopefully we will back for another visit in a year or two. Brede & Neil.

Lovely home from home

I stayed at Paddock Wood during Easter, with my husband and two young children. The accommodation was very well appointed, stylishly furnished and spotlessly clean; in fact it exceeded my expectations. We all slept like logs thanks to the comfortable beds and sea air. The owners, Mark and Sharon (and family), were extremely welcoming. They were on hand if we needed anything (including helping us access urgent medical attention for our poorly baby), but they were never intrusive and we felt we had plenty of privacy.

The accommodation is situated in a lovely part of Pembrokeshire just a short drive from many unspoilt beaches. Our boys loved our first break as a family of four, and being so close to places like Folly Farm (10-15 mins walk at toddler speed) was a real bonus.

Many thanks for a really lovely stay. We would not hesitate to recommend Paddock Wood to others, and would love to return (especially when the new games room is completed!).

Great break - out of season

We stay in Tenby in July every year, but decided to take an out-of-season long weekend to explore the surrounding area. We were prepared for wet walks in the lovely Pembrokeshire countryside, but by luck had beautiful weather - in mid November!!!

Mark and Sharon could not have been more accommodating, and Paddock Wood is perfectly placed for Tenby, Saundersfoot, Narberth, and beyond, and of course Folly Farm just up the road.

The accommodation was clean, well maintained and spacious, with all the mod cons you need - an ideal base for our trips around the area.

We will definitely be staying again, and I was delighted to hear that they are planning a games room for next year to house their snooker and shuffleboard tables (they already have a tennis court), so there will be plenty to do without even going anywhere.

Highly recommended!

Owners couldnt do enough for you, but stayed out of way.

Great place to stay, right in the middle of anywhere you wish to visit in South Pembrokshire.

This area is very good for: Cycling holidays, beach/relaxation holidays, spa weekends, walking/hiking holidays, all sporting activities including fishing, horse riding, golf and water sports.


We are close to nearby resorts of Tenby (5 miles) voted by Trip Advisor 2013 as one of the best beach destinations in the UK. boasting 3 blue flag beaches which are the prettiest in Pembrokeshire. There are also beaches at Saundersfoot (2 miles), Wisemans bridge (2 miles), Coppet Hall, Amroth and many more. The beautiful Coastal path starts at Amroth which is only 3.6 miles away, this exciting walking trail covers approx 150 miles of Pembrokeshire's dramatic coastline.


Some helpful travel distances; Cardiff Airport is 90 miles. Pembroke Dock Ferry port is 11.9 miles. Fishguard Ferry Port is 30 miles (Stena line).


We have 4 local swimming pools at Tenby Leisure centre, Blue Lagoon with wave machine, lazy river and slides, Martin James Health Club and The Narberth Swimming Pool.

Further Details:

We have a local supermarket with ATM machine, Doctors surgery, chemist, post office, launderette, fish and chip shop, Chinese and Indian take aways all within a walking distance approx 8 minutes. We have a newly refurbished pub serving good food plus a well established family run fresh bakery. Plus two local petrol garages serving the community. Nearest banks are in Tenby and Narberth.

Booking Notes:
A 20% deposit is due on all bookings and a final balance is due 6 weeks before. Receipt and confirmation of dates will be sent after deposit is received. Please ring for late deals and special offers.

Changeover Day:
Changeovers take place on a Saturday. These will vary for short breaks. Guests are invited to arrive after 4 pm on date of arrival and depart by 10.30 am on their last day.

Notes on prices:
Cancellation policy
If the guest cancels or the balance is not paid on time, the booking deposit cannot be refunded.If the balance payment is not received at least two weeks before the holiday starts, the booking will be automatically cancelled.
If the guest has paid the full balance, they will receive: a 50% refund of the total cost if they cancel at least four weeks before the start of the holiday; or
a 25% refund of the total cost if they cancel up to two weeks before the start of holida
