About Carrie Crutcher
I take a pride in Honeysuckle which is a loved and cherished second home, that has been thoughtfully designed and well equipped. I live in Surrey and visit the property every 6 weeks to ensure that the house and garden are clean, tidy, and well cared for. A large number of my guests return year after year as they appreciate the relaxing ambiance, knowing that their needs for the perfect holiday will be met. I feel that I provide a personal touch in ensuring a smooth stay for all my guests and am available to help with any problems that may arise. My housekeeper is local and prepares the house for your visit and I have a good network of local trades people. I spend a significant amount of my time in Polzeath, and am a member of the Polzeath Voice which addresses local issues.

So good that we have come back in 2018 and have booked for 2019.
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay for the second time, and please you and your international friends are returning.
Cosy, comfortable house.
Our family of 6 stayed at Honeysuckle Hill in Sept. The house is definitely an above average holiday let.It is in a very quiet area and about a five minute drive from Polzeath and it’s lovely beach. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area. It is very warm and cozy and the view from the stunning sun-room is fabulous. We would stay again in a heartbeat. If we had a complaint it would be that we had to make up the beds and we have never come across this in all our years of renting holiday homes. Nevertheless we would highly recommend this house.
Delighted you enjoyed your stay Fiona, In the visitor book you wrote ‘ this house wraps its arms around you and gives you a big hug’ What a lovely thing to say. Thank you. You left it beautfully, and clearly loved it as much as we do. Do come back. Carrie
Fantastic house in a great location. We had an amazing family holiday.
The property is located about 100 yds from the beach down a footpath. The location was ideal for our family with teenagers and older children who could come and go independently to the beach, or pop back if they had forgotten something etc. The property itself is spacious and well equipped. The outdoor shower, then through the warm garage/utility to the indoor wet-room is a really good set up for soggy children! The kitchen/ dining/ living areas are great and we never felt that we were all on top of each other - plenty of space to be together or leave the children having an intense game of monopoly in one area whilst we were in another. We have been to Polzeath before and love the place and surrounding area. I would definitely recommend the butchers at Rock which is outstanding. Also one of the recommendations from the owner was the restaurant at the Port Gaverne Hotel which was amazing. We liked it so much we went twice. All in all a fantastic place to stay both in terms of location and the house itself.
Thank you Deborah for writing such a positive review. We think its location and layout of the house is great too, but we’re biased! So pleased you do too. Its so helpful to other travellers to get this feedback. Thank you for leaving it so beautfully. I hope to see you return. Carrie
An excellent holiday location
This was a brilliant holiday in a superb location. Handy for the beach, cliff walks & the village. The house is well maintained with everything we needed provided. The owners were helpful both when booking & with information during our stay. Polzeath has several good eateries & the SPAR shop is very well stocked. Highly recommend!
Thank you Val for your kind words. I work hard at keeping it well maintained so glad you appreciated it. You left it spotless, for which the housekeeper was extremely grateful, do come back and enjoy another holiday here, We’d love to see you return.
Superb house for a family
The house did not just live up to our expectations - it was even better! It's a lovely house for a family - 3 generations for our stay. There's loads of living space with a roomy lounge, kitchen and the orangery. It's really well equipped - far more than the bare minimum. The garden is a great space for youngsters to enjoy. The owner clearly cares for the property as her second home and looks after it well. Our contact with the owner has been very efficient and helpful. We would certainly recommend the property - in fact other family members who visited us while we were there are interested in booking it for themselves!
Thank you Andrew for such a positive feed back. I also appreciated your email with suggestions to make it even better! I have now purchased the small items you suggested to make life easier. I hope to see you return.
We have the most loveliest of weeks with three generations of our family. The house is amazing with the orangery, extremely comfortable beds, equipment in the kitchen and utility room with the buckets, spades and windbreaks, access to the beach which is literally a 5 min walk and, of course, the view, which is spectacular. The sunsets have been pretty amazing too. We cannot praise this house enough and we would love to return next year to visit more villages and enjoy the house and beach again.
Thank you for your kind words, I get as much pleasure knowing guests enjoyed Honeysuckle as I do myself. Its a special place. Look forward to your return.
