Decorated & furnished to a high specification & well maintained throughout.
After a long journey we arrived to be welcomed by a very modern & well resourced apartment in a beautiful Yorkshire village.
Clean, tidy & clearly maintained to a high standard & whilst the temperature plummeted outside it remained warm & comforting too.
Ample resources available for a self catering stay & lots of choice for dining out in the local area too as it is perfectly placed for commuting into Nidderdale, Wharfedale & Swaledale.
A lovely property let down by poor management
Shower not working, weeds a foot high in the gravel patio, curtains falling off curtain rails, I could go on... Such a shame as it is a lovely property
Hi Annie, thank you for the review. I'm sorry that the apartment was not to the standard that we usually supply. I've checked with our management company and the shower was attended to immediately prior to your stay so am surprised that it didn't work correctly during your stay. The outside area was also weeded a week or so before your arrival, however we have requested that the gardener attends to this again. All other items raised by you have also been attended to so thanks for bringing them to our attention.
Clean and well appointed property
Good location for some nice walks around Wensleydale
Hi Alistair, thank you for your review. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Cosy and well equipped lovely location
Comfortable and warm apartment. Nice welcoming tea and biscuits! Great location for walks. Only downside was the shower didn't work very well running hot and cold. As there was a bath this was fine for the time we were there.
Perfect location lovely property
So good we're thinking of going back again!
The apartment is in perfect order, looking as though it has recently been refurbished, Everything so clean and neat. The beds are comfortable the lounge furniture just right. Everything you need in the kitchen and the bathroom spotless.
The only worrying thing is the fact that the car has to be parked on a lower level and therefore coming out onto the road, one has to be very careful that no car/lorry/van comes down the sharp bend of this narrow road. I feel that a mirror on the opposite area showing traffic on the hill would be very useful. The large shrub near the exit needs trimming back to give a clearer view.
Thank you for your positive review. So glad that everything was to your satisfaction. With regards to the parking, the shrub will be trimmed next week and we'll look at your suggestion regarding the mirror.

Thoralby is a peaceful, farming village hugging the sheltered south-facing slope at the entrance to Bishopdale, Thoralby's quiet byways are home to many species of wild flowers and birds. Stay a while and take in the glorious Yorkshire scenery.
Nearby the pretty market town of Leyburn sits just outside the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, but the boundary seems somewhat arbitrary - Leyburn is an archetypal Dales place. This is the start of Wensleydale, with the river Ure running by it in the valley below, the town itself full of typical grey stone buildings.
Hawes is a magical little market town and is England's highest, set 850 feet above sea water. Hawes was first recorded as a market place in 1307 and the lively Tuesday market still entices shoppers in. Home to the world famous Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese and set amidst breath-taking scenery it's no surprise Hawes is one of the honeypot tourist attractions of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The name Hawes means a ‘pass between mountains' and it stands between the stunning Buttertubs and Fleet Moss.
