Lovely well presented cottage home from home.
The cottage was well situated for lots of day trips to Thrisk, North Allerton, The Dales and the Moors, as well as Whitby and Scarborough. Lots of brillant walks for the dog. The owners were very welcoming, allowed privacy, but were available if needed. Will return to this cottage
Excellent place to stay
This place is one of the best we have stayed in, it's very spacious all round, clean, comfortable(especially the bed) and very well equipped with everything you need. The location is great for a get away from it all break, with lovely views & walks from the doorstep. Excellent!!!
First Class
The cottage had everything you could possibly need, very clean .
A cottage with everything
A lovely, comfy cottage, beautifully equipped in a most spectacular part of the world. We walked, my dog and I, enjoying many sightings of wildlife including deer, owls, woodpeckers, boxing hares, partridge, pheasant and of course Spring lambs. Lots of wonderful pubs nearby but the kitchen is well equipped if you wish to stay in and enjoy local produce. I could not have had a nicer week, although the weather might have been a bit kinder!!
Close cottage Oulston
Close cottage is spacious, well equipped, warm and absolutely spotlessly clean, we had a lovely time there and will return in the future
Exceeds expectations in every respect
We felt immediately at home here, partly because of the warm welcome from the hosts but also the comfort and high standard of all the facilities. Equipment has been extremely well thought through in terms of both range and quality. Heating arrangements during a wet November stay were perfectly attuned to our needs and easy to use. Bed and bedding, which can be disappointing in holiday properties, were of a pleasingly high standard. The property was impeccably clean and everything worked. The care and consideration of the owners was exemplary . A nice touch is the voucher for use at the nearby Durham Ox in Crayke, well worth a visit. We would heartily recommend the Cottage, and indeed already have, to anyone seeking a high quality, well run home-from-home within easy reach of York and the stunning scenery of the Coast, the Moors and the Dales.
