This property has a lift, but please note that there is a small flight of stairs at entrance level and again when you exit the lift on the 6th floor.

This property underwent a complete refit and makeover in June 2011.

6th (top) floor penthouse apartment in this quiet port-side road - sleeps 6 (if using the sofabed for 2 people);

2 balconies with panoramic south and west facing views over the port of Nice and the sea;

Brand new bathrooms, bedrooms, NEFF kitchen appliances, furniture and decor;

New 'silent type' reversible air conditioning; double glazing and wooden flooring;

5 minutes walk to the old town, 10 minutes walk to the beach, and 20 minutes drive to Nice airport;

2 double / twin bedrooms, one of them en-suite, a further sofa-bed in the lounge;

The air conditioning in the bedrooms was fabulous. Having stayed in the area 3 times before we know what it is like trying to sleep without any a.c. The fabric and furnishing in the flat was excellent, everything that could be required was there. The balcony was the perfect place to chill out after a day in the hot sun, offering a fantastic vista of the ever changing port.We enjoyed the stay in your apartment very much !

Bright, airy apartment with amazing views

We chose this apartment for its situation and views and it more than exceeded our expectations. The spectacular views across the port to the sea and around the surrounding mountains are so uplifting and we spent many a happy evening, glass in hand, enjoying them. We appreciated the free wifi also.

We were a family group of 4 adults and this apartment perfectly fulfilled our requirements for a week's stay. The spacious, stylish and comfortably furnished kitchen/dining/lounge area is superbly well-equipped, with three large sliding doors opening on to the balcony with those panoramic views.

The bedrooms are compact, but comfortable, with plenty of storage and hanging space. The en-suite is of necessity compact, but is more than compensated for by the huge, luxurious main bathroom which has a powerful shower and seemingly endless hot water.

The owner, Chris Beresford, provides excellent customer servies and sends a comprehensive information pack before you go, including a map of the local neighbourhood with bus stops, supermarkets, restaurants, post office, etc. all marked. The supermarket and boulangerie are less than 5 minutes walk away. The bus stop for the 100 to Menton (for Villefranche, Beaulieu and Monaco) is also just metres from the door. (The bus runs every 15 minutes and costs just 1.5 euros to wherever you want to go) You can also just wander round the headland to the Promenade des Anglais and the long beach of Nice if you want to stay local.

There are so many restaurants on the quayside, surrounding roads and in the Old Town that you never have to go far and are spoilt for choice. We sampled Gousto (Peruvian) and Le Lantane (Pizzeria), both recommended by Chris, and were extremely impressed. Prices in restaurants generally were less than we had expected. If you just want a quick and tasty snack, to take back with you, then the Wok'n'Roll chinese takeaway just around the corner is very convenient.

As my daughter and I had heavy cases we decided to take a taxi from the airport and booked in advance with Allodriver.com. For 40 euros we were met by a charming driver in a gleaming Mercedes, with cold bottled water provided inside, and arrived at the apartment in comfort within 20 minutes. We hadn't booked a return, so instead took a taxi from the port which was very easy and cost 35 Euros.

I unreservedly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a bright and airy apartment in a hard-to-beat location, with stunning views.

Owner's Response: Although there are numerous restaurants around the port, if you go just a street or two back there are even more to choose from - I'm still researching them and will continue to add to my recommendations.

Lovely location with stunning views!

A super flat with balconies and stunning views. Well appointed, with everything you need, including a large bathroom and an en-suite. Super comfy loungers in the sitting room. Very clean and excellent customer service. How lovely to have the super choice of restaurants right below you, where you can catch the evening sun! The only negative was that the bedrooms were a little tight for space in the bed areas.

Wonderfull Viev

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was neat and clean when we arrived and everything was very okay. We enjoyed the afternoons very much sitting on the terrasse overlooking the Mediterranean while drinking a glass of white wine. The restaurants just downstairs were great and we visited them several times. It was our second stay in the apartment and we will probably return for the third time.

Fabulous Penthouse overlooking Nice Port

My family of four (self, husband and 10 year old twin boys) had a wonderful 5 night stay in this beautiful apartment. It is extremely neat, clean and comfortable with plenty of space for four people. The views across the Port are outstanding and provided lots of entertainment for all of us. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Nice.

Fabulous located spacious Penthouse in Nice

Had a wonderful 3 night break in this spacious, light modern apartment, with fantastic views over the Port. Apartment exceptionally well equipped, clean on arrival and the walk in shower is amazing. Local buses were brilliant and reasonable. Had fantastic ride to Monte Carlo for 1.5E each way!! Recommend to visit the Villa Rothschild with its magnificent house and gardens. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for comfortable peaceful accommodation, but with a bustling environment just outside the door and all the fun that brings. Easily accessible from the airport.

Nice / Port of Nice

Nice is a wonderful city with everything you could hope for - spectacular scenery, museums and galleries, history, great architecture, food, beaches and glamour.

Nice port is a 5 minute walk into the bustling Old Town. It is a maze of little shops and restaurants all leading down to the waterfront where you can eat out and admire the yachts and luxury cruisers.

Major works took place in 2010-11 which have created a double width pavement enabling alfresco dining along the whole length of the road.

A new tramline, due to open in 2014 will end at the port and run all the way from the port to the airport.
