Only five minutes' walk to the nearest sandy beach, the special charm of this studio is the small, sunny roof terrace (known locally as a 'Terrasse Tropezienne') which opens directly off the room through double doors, where you can dine a-deux and sip your evening wine as you watch the moon climbing over the ancient towers of the cathedral and Chateau Grimaldi. Also all within five to ten minutes walk are the famous covered market, the stone ramparts along the sea, the Musee Picasso and the huge marina where some of the largest luxury yachts in the world are moored, as well as the smallest of fishing boats whose crews land and sell their daily catch on the quay. Please note the apartment is on the third floor of an old Provencal house and there is no lift, thus it is not suitable for people with mobility problems.

Why Jill chose Antibes
As a family we have owned this studio for many years and we all love its Provencal charm and tranquillity up amongst the rooftops. It is a special place and we all love it and hope you will too.

Superb location but ridiculously steep steps to the flat and incredibly warm in early July
Great town, really handy for French River is. Flat superbly positioned in Antibes. Very very steep stairs and desperately needed air con....
Hello Damian - I am so very sorry that you did not realise we have a portable air conditioner in the apartment, and that somehow this information was not relayed to you! The unit is very efficient but bulky, and we keep it next door in store unless it is requested. In your case it looks as though you were not told this and I can only repeat how very sorry I am. Ironically, if you had complained at the time, you would have had it immediately, but I imagine you are too well mannered to complain and didn't want to make a fuss. You are right about the stairs up to our front door - they are very steep indeed and I do try my best to warn guests before they make a booking. I am glad you enjoyed the flat's location and I do hope you still managed to have a happy holiday. With best wishes Jill
Great studio flat in center of old town very clean
Amazing quaint home with great location!
I immediately loved this place, so cute and quaint and in a great location. I had an amazing time and I would definitely stay here again and Jill is very helpful and accommodating! Thankyou for everything :)
I'm so delighted you had a happy stay. I know you were just starting a great adventure and had come from the other side of the planet so it's lovely to know it all got off to a good start in our Antibes apartment.
Authentic & Well-Located
We had a fabulous stay! The owner made us feel like guests versus paying customers. This is the first time we have rented from VRBO internationally; all information and instructions before our stay were clear and thorough. The apartment was clean and well-equipped, and the bed was very comfortable. The location is perfect - we were at most a 5-minute walk to the Marche Provincial (open aired market), to the marina, and to the beach. Our favorite part was sitting on the outdoor terrace in the evenings, drinking wine, and listening to the sounds of Antibes! The apartment is on the 3rd floor - we really needed those steps after indulging in amazing meals everywhere we went! I recommend this highly.
great place, great location
really enjoyed this place - was perfect for our stay - check in/out was easy and very pleasant
Clean and tidy, with all the necessary equipment
Thanks, will be back next year
Thank you Peter. I know you were very involved with the great regatta here, Les Voiles d'Antibes, so I'm very glad that you found your stay with us 'Shipshape and Bristol fashion'.
Five minutes' walk to La Gravette Beach (sandy) and the small rocky beach beyond the rampart wall (much used by locals). Ten to fifteen minutes' walk around the bay towards the Cap d'Antibes for sandy beaches such as Ponteil and Salis. Great running along the ramparts or round the port and over to the Fort Carre where you get stunning views across the harbour.
Nice Cote d'Azur Airport is 15 km - 20 mins by taxi, 35 mins by the regular & inexpensive airport bus service. The studio is ten minutes walk to the train station which has direct lines to St Raphael, Cannes, Nice, Monaco and the Italian Riviera as well as TGV services to Paris and beyond. Numerous local buses will get you to places like Juan-les-Pins, Valbonne and Vallauris. A car is not necessary, but underground parking is available nearby as are car-hire firms.
Cannes - 15 km
Nice - 20 km
Juan-les-Pins - 5 km
A8 Motorway exit - 5 km
Antibes' Old Town (Vieille Ville) provides a constant source of delight and interest whatever the time of year. In high summer it's a mad crazy joy. In winter it's calm, usually sunny and there are spectacular views across the bay of the snow-topped Alps. Explore on foot its maze of narrow, cobbled streets covered with vines and bougainvillea. Walk its sixteenth century stone ramparts washed by the sea. Visit its museums - including Picasso, Peynet, Archaeology and Napoleon. The Provencal food and flower market (daily except Mondays) is a riot of colour, savours and scents. Antiques and Art markets are weekly/bi-weekly occurrences in the squares and along several streets. The cafe/restaurant/bar scene is mostly relaxed and casual with a Michelin star or two for full-on elegant occasions.
There are great walks around the Cap d'Antibes along the sea to Garoupe Beach (think Scott Fitzgerald) and on around the headland to the famous Hotel du Cap; or take the pathway up to the lighthouse from Salis Beach.
Power boats can be hired by the day. Sailing and diving are available. There is nearly always some sort of festival or happening e.g. Les Voiles d'Antibes (regatta for world-famous classic yachts) in June; Notre Dame de Bon Port in July; Les Nuits Blanche throughout Midsummer's Eve; The Giant Christmas Log Cake (Buche de Noel - everybody gets a slice for free) in December - it's always worth checking out the latest news on-line.
