Stunning detached farmhouse/barn conversion set in 3 acres of private grounds surrounding the property. Mainly laid to lawn in which to play safely in with mature trees and shrubs dotted around making it a picturesque scene. Magnificent 360 degree views of the rolling countryside and pretty hillside hamlet of Rampieux. Also lots of big sky at night for star gazing.Set on 2 levels with spacious living areas and bedrooms. Large private pool with sun terrace, loungers and parasols that gets the sun all day. Large new (2015) gazebo with table and chairs for alfresco dining and new stone BBQ. To 3 of the large patio windows there are awnings. Large Table tennis area/sun patio. UK freeview TV, DVD player with lots of DVD's, CD player. Wi-Fi. Massive high ceilinged open plan living dining area and well equiped kitchen. Hi from Chris and Christine,

We are an ordinary hard working family living in surrey.

We decided to look for a home in France after a great

family holiday 15 years ago. It took us three years and

several holidays finding this house and i know you will

love the house and location when you get there. For the

past eleven years we have enjoyed great holidays here but

have decided to let our lovley property now.

Mr and Mrs C A Baptist purchased this farmhouse in 2007

Why Mr and Mrs C A Baptist chose Rampieux

This area is great for holidays as is centrally located in

the most popular and beautiful part of France for

holidaymakers.There is an abundance of things to do

whatever you like, or you could just sit by the beautiful

pool sunbathe and read a book or sit under a sun awning

and admire the views with a glass of wine.

I would recommend a few must do's :

1; Canooing trip down the Vezere and into the Dordogne.

2; Visit the local caves (stalignites etc)

3; Visit castle Beynac

4; Markets especially sunday morning at Issigeac.

5; Medievil fetes always on during the summer at many local bastide towns.

6; Wine tasting at a local chateau {go to a local tourist office who will give you all the right info}

7; Eat out at one of the local restaurants.

Notes on accommodation: Sole occupancy. The farmhouse is furnished by us to a very high standard as you can see from the pictures, and is not your average rental property furniture/fittings. The swimming pool was constructed in 2011 It has large safe steps leading into a shallow end ideal for children/non swimmers.It has a pool Alarm fitted for safty which you have to deactivate b4 swimming.The pool has been situated to the side of the property purposely as it gets full sun from early morning to late evening. Outside: Large new southerly facing swimming pool with paved sunbathing/relaxing area adjacent equipped with sun loungers and sun umbrellas. Shaded sun terrace with luxury table and chairs and barbecue for a great outdoor dining experience. 3 acres surround the farmhouse mainly laid to lawn but dotted with mature shrubs and trees. 3 of the patio windows have awnings so you can sit in any position admiring the picturesque views. At the rear of the property there is an oak wood which is great for picnics and exploring. There is also a large covered terrace at the rear of the property. There is table tennis also. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is cleaned on changeovers Clean sheets and bath a pool towels are provided at the start of the holiday, there is a washing machine/clothes line available. Extra cleaning and a change of sheets/towels can be arranged at an additional charge. Other: Mezzanine has a mahogany office section with a desk and swivel chair as well as a leather chesterfield, there is also a bookcase full of paperbacks, a professional table football and a retro video games table with 60 games set to free play.

Such a wonderful house

This was our second stay at Le Planel and this time it was for a full 2 weeks with both of our parents. The house was just as we remembered it and had been even further improved with the addition of some lovely skylight windows. Our parents kept saying how lovely the decor was!

Chris and Christine were fantastic as always and only too happy to answer any questions or requests we had. The area is beautiful and this is in a great location for exploring.

At risk of sounding like the terminator - we will be back

Fantastic house - we will be back!

We had a lovely stay at Le Planel. We knew we would have a great time as on arrival, after many hours in the hot car, our youngest (who was already prepared in his swimming costume) threw himself out of the car and launched himself into the swimming pool with screams of delight (and the squeal of the pool alarm!!). He hardly left the poolside all week.

Christine was so helpful with all my many questions before the holiday and contacted us again when we arrived to check that everything was okay.

The house was spacious and brilliantly equipped with a Tassimo coffee machine, pots and pans galore and plenty of crockery and cutlery. The location was stunning - at the top of a hill so you benefitted from a welcome breeze. We were far away enough from the neighbours to not have to worry about making too much noise!

The gazebo was very welcome and I am not sure that we would have been able to eat outside so much without it because of the heat of the sun.

Having wifi, DVDs and many books on hand was certainly welcomed by our 13 and 15 year olds, they also enjoyed the table tennis, video game machine and table football.

The swimming pool was beautifully clean and maintained, we did have to top it up after advice from the helpful pool man up as it was an exceptionally hot week and the level had dropped slightly.

We are already planning our next visit as I know that it was a holiday our family will remember.

a wonderful, relaxing holiday

A wonderful house in a beautiful and peaceful location which gives you everything you need to relax and enjoy the sun. We loved the outside area with its lovely views, pool and gazebo for eating outside in welcome shade.

There's so much to do at the house, table tennis, table football and games but we perhaps didn't take full advantage of this as we all got distracted by the Olympics! So pleased to have the BBC coverage, a real bonus.

We enjoyed the Monday night food market in Beaumont with all the locals and visitors coming together to enjoy the local produce and music. The Sunday market in Issigeac was busy but worth a visit if you want to avoid the supermarket sometimes.

Canoeing was very easy to arrange in Limeuil.

We've holidayed in the Dordogne a few times before and this is our favourite location so far.

We had the best week here. It's exactly as the reviews describe, a home from home. The owners have thought of everything when creating this holiday home.

We would highly recommend staying here, if you want to relax, enjoy the views and not have to worry about a thing - it's perfect!

A beautiful relaxing haven

Two friends and I spent an incredibly relaxing three days here, in this beautiful house in a stunning rural setting. The house was clean and the facilities were great - including WiFi - and it is located 5 minutes from a big supermarket and about 10 minutes from a lovely little town that had a great pizza restaurant (and lots of other restaurants). Thoroughly recommend for anyone who wants to completely unwind and forget about the worries of everyday life!

I had read all the reviews of Le Planel prior to booking and I definitely agree with all that has been written before, it is a truly beautiful place to stay. The views,tranquility,and excellent accommodation that has been so well thought out,make it a really is gorgeous place to stay.

The surrounding area is packed with amazing Bastide towns,(nearby Monpazier is beautiful)they are completely unspoilt....joyfully no Starbucks and Costa to be seen😀

Recommend canoeing great fun and fabulous views along the Dordogne.

Christine always replied immediately to all enquiries.
