Charming farmhouse with private pool

Bedrooms 4
Space 2,152 sq. ft.
Property type farmhouse
Minimum Stay 4 - 7 nights

About the property

Secluded and peaceful location overlooking stunning countryside

A charming old farmhouse nestling in the heart of the Verdicchio wine region. Full of character the house is traditionally decorated and furnished with antique furniture.

Inside there are 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms; a large comfortable sitting room with open fire, TV & dvd player; an open plan kitchen and dining area. Outside there are 2 eating areas - we prefer the table at the front of the house for breakfast before moving to the long table under the pergola with its vines & cherry trees for lunch and dinner shaded from the summer sun, a BBQ is avaiable to complete the al fresco experience.

We would like to make your stay as stress free as possible so upon arrival you will be met by an English couple who have lived locally for a number of years - Italian speakers they can help with restaurant recommendations and bookings or even places to visit should you so wish.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Diana & Co.

After having been hit very hard with the return to the harsh reality, I am finally coming to writing an email to you and your team on behalf of my and Alena’s family to say thanks again to making it possible for us to enjoy a great vacation at your place. As mentioned in my previous email, the house was great and perfect for our needs. But the helpful and friendly attitude of you, Jackie, Lesley, and both Tonys (hope I remember it correctly) is what made the trip even more enjoyable. We had some bad experiences with landlords in the past but your team has set the bar very high, so thanks again for that.

What a wonderful property, set in the rolling fields and woodlands of rural Marche with a real feel of rural Italy. Every window has a view and every view brings calm and peace. The house has a lovely atmosphere whether inside or out, enhanced by traditional materials and features. The pool, so ably maintained by the affable Tony & Lesley, was our saviour when the mercury hit 39, the waters cooling everything off with a smile, along with a G&T or two. Cupramontana is the local town, providing excellent opportunities for shopping, dining or having a beer and watching the world go by as you throw a peanut or two down. If you get a chance, get out on those backroads especially over Urbino way, where you will find castles, palaces, churches & cathedrals. It is a wonderful holiday when 2 weeks is simply not enough.

What a wonderful house and what a beautiful location. A lovely place to get away from it all!

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from 2 weeks in Cupramontana and have had a wonderful time. The house is full of character and has everything you need. It has the most amazing views. Very peaceful. The children particularly enjoyed using the pool. We also made use of Diana and Brendan's dvd collection some evenings in their comfortable lounge. The town is only a short drive away and has a number of good restaurants - a lovely, friendly place to wander around. The children's favourite places were Cafe Ruggero (ice creams) and Ristorante Gina (pizza).

Lesley and Tony, who look after the house were amazing. Incredibly helpful. We had a flat tyre and not only did they help change the spare, but they insisted on coming to the local garage to help us buy a replacement (our Italian wasn't quite up to that) and then kept popping into the garage to check if it was in stock yet as we needed exactly the same tyre as on the hire car.

There are some beautiful places to explore nearby. The Frasassi caves are amazing - well worth seeing. The children were captivated. All in all, a wonderful holiday!

We had a Fantastic holiday.

  • 5 of 5

We are a family with 2 young children; 4 and 2.

We loved our holiday; the house, the facilities, toys, pool, Bonci's wine, the location, the local town and the general area.

We had a mixture of day trips and a beach holiday.

We returned home happy and relaxed.

Prior to our holiday Diana answered any questions we had. Thank you. We spoke often and she could not have been more helpful.

Tony, Lesley and Molly were very unobtrusive and extremely warm and helpful, again thank you!

The local town is beautiful; its market, its cafes and lots of affordable great Italian eating options.

Our only two regrets are;

1. our poor spoken Italian, as this area is not a tourist trap, a little bit of the language would be good. The local Italians are extremely warm and helpful and we always got by.

2. Getting home to cold london.. But a great holiday has to end:)

We were so happy here! We would love to get back.

Thank you.

Tranquil setting, remote location, difficult road.

  • 3 of 5

Overall impression of the property was spacious and clean but with basic Bathroom facilities, which proved challenging for two families sharing. Remote location, car essential, four wheel drive preferable. No facilities within walking distance. Lovely pool and outside eating area, which would benefit from some out door lighting. For us, it was fine and we had a great holiday, but may not suit everybody.

Owner's Response: We recommend that our guests carefully read the information on the location, specifications and facilities for our property on the website and we encourage any questions they may have, depending on the type of holiday they are looking for. We try to speak with our guests before they book to ascertain their requirements and check as far as possible that the house meets their needs. Unfortunately, you did not come across our house through the usual manner. We have never needed to hire a car larger than a fiat panda but recommend that guests hire the type of car they are used to driving (ie manual/automatic). Whilst appreciating your comment regarding outside lighting, because in the UK we live in an area of high light pollution, aside from the entrances, we have made the conscious effort of keeping light pollution to a minimum so that we can enjoy the night skies and fire flies. There are plenty of lanterns at the house and candles are easily available in all the supermarkets. We are pleased that you managed to enjoy your holiday and appreciate that our home is not to everyone’s tastes.

Perfect house, perfect accomodation

  • 5 of 5

We loved the property which was even more beautiful and spacious than the photos can portray! All of the fittings, furniture, bedding etc were of a very high quality. The service provided was excellent in terms of any support we needed with either the property or tourist advice. Perfect location for airport, beaches, gorgeous villages, ancient architecture and local markets.

Five minutes to excellent vineyard, ten minutes to local village with shops and market, bars and very good restaurants. Idyllic!!

Heavenly - sorry we had to leave!!

  • 5 of 5

Dear Brendan and Diana

You are so lucky to have such a wonderful house:

we were a party of 8 ages ranging from 14 -81 and it suited us all - we were so impressed with the cleanliness of everything and the lovely homely touches around the house - we all felt so welcomed, especially by Lesley and Tony who couldn't have been more helpful - even leaving their phone number in case we need them due to our eldest member having dementia! (He even remembers the great holiday saying he would go back again!!)

We can't say enough in praise of this house - it really made our holiday we felt at home straight away

the local town is so friendly and helpful and just a minute up the hill

I can say enough thank yous to you all I was nervous bringing our 'oul fella' with us - we needn't have worried!

we will be back!!

warm wishes

the Tighes Co Down N Ireland

Oh meant to say the wine tasting up the road - glad we were so near home!

also the caves even grandpa loved it and was able to walk round and so cool!!
