My name is Karen, I fell in love with Skopelos when I first came to the island for holidays. I have had a long history with the island, returned many times over the years and made good friends. Purchased the land when there were no other villas in the surrounding area. After a few years I moved to Athens where we still reside. My husband who is an Executive Italian Chef, myself a teacher and our son. When we built our villa it was a dream for family and friends to escape to. We have spent many memorable times at the villa enjoying the beauty of Skopelos and strengthening our ties with friends. We decided to rent the villa with the idea of sharing all the wonderful experiences Skopelos has to offer. I look forward to meeting you at the harbor and showing you around the villa. We stay near by the villa and over see the property, we are their for all our guests for anything you may need.

What makes this villa unique

The unique position of the villa which is situated right off the tarmac road down a stone walled private drive leaves nothing for surprise, no long dirt roads or steep paved inclines to enter or exit from the villa. Set down in an area of 1.5 square meters of land, it truly is your own private hideaway. Olive fields and forested land extend to the right and left and below our land ensuring seclusion. The panoramic views of the sea and distant islands, picturesque village of Glossa and hillsides are what made me choose the name for our villa. Tranquillity at its best but just a short distance from all amenities and beaches.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Robert and Emmanuella [France] We have had a great two weeks in your villa and we will remember the stunning sunsets, the panoramic breakfasts and the fun in the pool. We have fallen under the charm of the villa and the island of Skopelos.

Diane and Fred Howell[UK] It has been a wonderful 3 weeks, the villa is so pretty and the views quite stupendous! When we first walked out of the house onto the terrace, it took our breath away! The silver sparkle on the flat calm sea to shades of blue of the islands-all followed by the sunsets! We have felt very lucky.

Neil and Catherine Edwards [UK] We have little to add to the comments of your earlier guests. The villa is situated in a most wonderful location for views and sunsets, the terraces and the pool are unrivalled facilities. We have really enjoyed our stay.

Jane and David Saddleworth [UK] We have stayed in lots of villas in many different countries, this has to be one of the best. The views are unsurpassed. So peaceful and relaxing.

Beautiful views with 3 terraces and a large pool area

  • 5 of 5

Karen was very welcoming and helpful. The house was very comfortable and spacious inside and the outside was beautiful.

The nearby town of Glossa is very accessible and typically Greek.

There are plenty of nearby beaches all of which are excellent.

Beautiful Greek house in a quiet secluded location.

  • 5 of 5

Lovely well looked after villa with fantastic views of Glossa town and the sea. Karen very attentive and helpful and always on hand if needed. Pool large and very quiet. Not very much shade on the patio at the back of the house at the end of the day making it very hot in high season, but front shaded and cool. Really need a car to reach nearby tavernas and beaches, but you could manage without. Wasps were a problem this year, as over all Greece. Initially this was difficult, but we became better at dealing with them and ate after dark when they had all gone to bed! A beautiful Island with some magnificent beaches. We would love to return some time and would most probably stay at Villa View again. Thank you so much.

Lovely pretty little villa

  • 5 of 5

A lovely traditional villa, clean and room enough for 3 -5 people but it may be a squash with 5 (all depends on your group). One bathroom but 2 toilets. The pool and views were excellent , pool and beach towels were provided also some beach gear and cool bags so very well provided for. No cleaner in the week or change of towels but not a problem for one week.

In all we had a wonderful holiday in a very pretty villa, Karen was there to meet us and would have helped out if we needed anything but left us to ourselves all week, which as a family we like. You really need a car but can catch a bus all around the island , roads are a little tight so walking with small children may be a bit tricky and quite a distance to any where. There are lots of places to eat but not in walking distance all open late so eating around 10. 0 clock was not a problem . Great holiday , great little villa ..

Great Villa in a great location

  • 5 of 5

It's difficult to add to the very positive reviews which Karen and Villa View have consistently been receiving from previous reviewers. The Villa is perfect for 5 people, be aware though that the 5th bedroom is open to the stairway so not completely private (photograph shows it as it is) which was not a problem for us but is worth mentioning. The villa is beautifully presented, clean and very much a home from home. The pool is first class and the views are the best that we have experienced. Karen Fava is incredibly helpful and is available for guidance, advice and tips as required. Glossa is a super small town and all of the locals are as friendly as you are likely to find anywhere in Greece. There are good restaurants in Glossa and Loutraki (the harbour). There are lots of beaches to visit of all flavors to suit all tastes but you do really need a car to take full advantage of them. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a lovely location with a very helpful owner then look no further. We will be returning to Villa View just as soon as we can. Thank you Karen.

Comfortable villa in the most beautiful part of Skopelos

  • 5 of 5

We loved this villa for its location, tucked into the hillside with amazing views across to Skiathos and for the kind hospitality of its owner Karen. Villa View feels private and surrounded by countryside yet is close to the unspoiled town of Glossa and within reach of the most beautiful and quiet countryside and beaches of Skopelos to the north and immediate southwest.

The lovely pool is an added bonus, along with lower and upper terraces to survey the surrounding sea, landscape and sunsets.

Everything inside is in good shape - nice beds and linen, not to mention numerous towels, for bath, pool and beach, allowing for minimal packing - and when it rained throughout our last day we appreciated the comfortable sofa, light and warm interiors.

Highly recommended!

Everything as expected

  • 5 of 5

Villa view is a lovely property, with splendid views and a lovely pool. Peace and quiet are very important to us, and whilst the villa is close to the main road, we were never disturbed by road noise, not even the ubiquitous greek motorcycles! The pool is delightful and totally private. We didn't want to hire a car and this did not prevent us from getting around as there is a bus service which takes you to the major beaches and to Skopolos town. Glossa is within walking distance, although the walk is on the main road so you need your wits and ears about you! Taxis are also easy to book and if you don't feel like the walk back from Glossa after a lovely meal in a taverna, then a taxi from Glossa is about 5 euros, (10 from Loutraki port). Karen was very helpful, and full of useful information. If you plan to visit Skopolos then seriously consider Villa View. We will certainly return. Thanks for everything Karen.
