Conveniently located private villa with pool, garden with BBQ and outside dining area. Built in 2009, Gallini offers spacious accommodation, constructed in a authentic style with exposed roof timbers and traditional fireplace. Modern life is accommodated with the availability of WiFi and Satellite TV alongside all mod con kitchen appliances. The Villa has the living room and kitchen upstairs with balconies to all aspects to make the most of the stunning views of the sea and island. The covered balcony off the kitchen provides a lovely shaded dining area with beautiful sea views where you can watch the boats come and go from Patitiri Harbour and the nearby picturesque Votsi Harbour. On a clear day it is even possible to see Evia across the Aegean ocean. There is a large south facing sun terrace accessed from the living room with comfortable sunbeams as well as a "Juliet" balcony with glass patio doors overlooking the pine covered island

The villa provides modern and spacious "home from home" accommodation for up to 5 guests in 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and a range of wardrobes, drawers and bedside tables. The large ensuite bathroom has a vanity unit, toilet and powerful shower. The master bedroom enjoys its own balcony with pagoda and access to the pool and garden. Bedroom two has twin beds with wardrobes, dressing table and patio doors to a large covered balcony with access to the pool and garden. Bedroom three has a single bed wardrobes etc and also has patio doors to the large covered balcony, pool and garden. There is a large family bathroom with vanity unit, toilet and powerful shower adjacent to both bedrooms. The newly constructed pool and BBQ area provides the opportunity to swim and relax in spacious surroundings. The pool is one metre deep for half its length increasing to 1.8 metres at the deeper end. An ample supply of comfortable outdoor furniture ensures a great experience.

Like all busy families we crave quality time together to relax, have fun and enjoy life. Our home, on Alonissos, allows us to do just that! Mark and I have been holidaying on this beautiful island for over 26 years whilst our children, Emily and Sammy, have enjoyed their holidays on the island since they were born. We all have so many memories that are frequently retold when we are back on the island. The children have grown up here and see it as their second home. We want to share our home with guests who also enjoy the special magic of Alonissos.

Why Tracey and Mark Smith chose Alonnisos

We first visited Alonissos on our honeymoon in 1990. From then on we found ourselves frequently returning. The island became very special to us. The peacefulness, islands beauty and the friendliness of the local community makes Alonissos a great holiday destination.

In 2006 we decided to buy a plot of land in Votsi and build our dream holiday home. We chose Votsi because of the Greek village life and the convenience of being able to easily walk to Votsi, Rusoum and Patatiri whilst having accessibility to the rest of the island. In 2016 we completed our dream home with the addition of a pool and landscaped garden. It's become our sanctuary!

Gallini is our much loved family home that was designed by us and the islands architect. It offers spacious accommodation with great views from all aspects.

What makes this villa unique

Gallini offers a spacious holiday home that is conveniently situated between Votsi and Rusoum. Patatiri is within walking distance as is the bus stop for the Old Town and Steni Valla.

We built our home upside down to guarantee great views within the living area whilst keeping the ground floor bedrooms cool during the summer months.

With balconies to three aspects of the property and landscaped gardens outdoor living is enjoyed by all.

Notes on accommodation: Gallini offers three double bedrooms, open plan first floor living accommodation and balcony's to three aspects of the Villa. The open plan design doesn't lend itself to toddlers. Bedroom freestanding fans are available. Smoking is not permitted inside the Villa Outside: The bedrooms are on the ground floor of the house and have the benefit of covered balcony areas to keep them cool and provide shelter from the sun. Upstairs there are two large balconies. The covered balcony leads from the kitchen and has a large dining table and seating for up to six guests. The uncovered south facing balcony offers lovely land and sea views, ideal for sunbathing on the sun loungers provided. A smaller uncovered balcony looking inwards to the island provides a peaceful alternative area to sit and enjoy the views. Utility Room: A washing machine is located in the Apothiki (basement utility room). Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Gallini is cleaned weekly with towels/linen included within the rental price. Beach towels are not provided. The rental price includes transport to/from the harbour on arrival/departure. Guests are required to vacate the Villa by 10 am on departure. Other: Upstairs cloakroom with WC

We had two weeks of lovely weather and great accomidation. We walk every where and had a great time. I would used this villa again if I went back to the island.

Votsi and Rousoum beaches are a 5 minute walk away from Gallini. Patatiri beach is a 20 minute walk away. There are superb beaches on the island which can be reached via taxi, car or local bus. Most have excellent Tavernas and sun beds, which are available for a small fee. A boat trip to the surrounding marine park provides further beach choices alongside a superb day out.


The nearest airport is Skiathos where many charter flights arrive or Athens on scheduled flights. If arriving at Skiathos it is 10 minutes to the harbour where ferries can be caught to Alonissos which take about an hour. If arriving at Athens Airport a bus can be taken to Agios Konstantinos (tickets available at airport) to catch a ferry to Alonissos, or a train from Athens to Volos to catch a ferry to Alonissos which takes 3 hours from either port.


Alonnisos is compact island just 20k by 4.4km. The Old Village (Chora) is a wonderful, car free, village where many of the local festivals are held. The ambience of the village is a perfect mixture of tranquillity and traditional Greek bustling nightlife. Steni Valla , about 8km from Gallini, is a traditional small fishing village with an excellent choice of tavernas and a diving centre.

Further Details:

There is a local supermarket and butchers only a five minute walk away from Gallini. With a wide choice of bakers, fish mongers and greengrocers, plus further supermarkets and butchers in Patatiri. Local boats and taxi's are available in Patatiri to take you further into the island or to enjoy a visit to the surrounding marine park. There is an ATM for cash withdrawals and car hire can be paid for by card.
