Apartment in Gran Alicant, Nr. Santa Pola, Costa Blanca South, Spain - Gran Alicant Is Located A Short Distance From Alicante Airport (ten Minute Drive), 600m To Beach.

The apartment is situated in a well maintained gated community called Novamar 3 which is located "down the hill" and comes self contained with full amenities that you would enjoy at home.

The accommodation is split over two levels with the bedrooms on the lower level which helps to keep it cooler in the heat of summer.

To the front of the property there is a small garden area and patio . The upper level is the main living area with gallery style fully equipped kitchen. Outside the main living area is the large Solarium with furniture and best of all the fantastic views of the mountains and the sea. Air conditioning units (Cold/Hot) are located in Main Living area and both Bedrooms. The shared swimming pool is set behind the facing apartments at the top of a slope in a quiet landscaped area with key-fob access for residents and guests only. The apartment has an external and internal staircases. Guests have exclusive access to underground parking with a designated parking bay and key fob activated garage door. Outside parking is also available.

We have owned the property from new in 2002 and have come here for our holidays several times a year since with our family, and more recently on our own.

The close proximity to the airport means your holiday is not delayed by lengthy journey times or costly transfers.

We totally chill within hours of arrival as you feel home from home comfort with all facilities both in the house and in the locality with the superb beach within walking distance and local bars ,eating places also just minutes away.

Why P.Hobbs chose Santa Pola

After many holidays to various destinations we decided to buy somewhere that was close to the airport (maximum 30 mins drive). Accessible by road or Air and close to the coast and decent beaches. Great weather. We found all of this in Gran Alicant which has grown over the last ten years into a great holiday destination if you want to avoid the masses and just want to 'Chillax' in a home from home environment.

First of all let me thank you for allowing us to stay in your place. It was excellent, above and beyond what we expected. We've stayed in Spain on and off for the past 20 years and have stayed in many apartments and villas and yours was, without any shadow of doubt, the cleanest we've ever stayed in.We loved it.

The location was great too. We did the beach everyday and found we could walk it in ten minutes or so and absolutely loved it. Fantastic beach and I would imagine really safe for kids.

The selection of restaurants just a few minutes walk was also a huge surprise,all good.

Dave, and his pick up great and we would recommend.

This holiday is the first that we've done that we both said we could have done a few more days, so relaxed had we become and so into a routine had we slipped into.

So, thanks again Paul, rest assured if we return to Spain we will book with you again. Loved the place and the resort.

Comfortable apartment and large sun terrace with awning. Good location for nearby shops, bars and restaurants. Helpful and attentive owner with good directions from airport to apartment. We would happily return without a car next time.

Wonderful !!

We have just returned home after spending four weeks in this splendid apartment . It was so homely , very spacious and spotlessly clean . The kitchen is also very well equipped and the shopping trolley provided was a great help! The sun terrace was amazing with beautiful panoramic views and sunshine all day! The area at the front of the property provides another area for relaxing . This is one of the nicest properties we have stayed in in Gran Alacant ..Paul was very very helpful with any queries we had .. We would book this apartment again without hesitation !

Well equipped, well located, Very helpful owner.

This property is located in an area with which we are very familiar. We usually stay with family who live close by and it was our first experience of renting in the area as this time we wanted to stay longer than normal. We would certainly be happy to stay here again. Paul, the owner, was very helpful both before and during our stay and responded promptly to any queries we had. The apartment had great views from the sun terrace and inside was well fitted out with everything we needed for our holiday. The location of the property served as a good base from which we were able to travel around. We hired a car for the duration of our stay as we wanted to visit some places further afield - Guadalest, Cartagena, Altea - and so did not need to use local transport other than the 'Tourist Train' to see the local area and which stops close by. Recommended for anyone new to the area to get an idea of what's around. We always enjoy walks along the marina sea front in both Alicante and Santa Pola where there are lots of restaurants and bars to choose from if you want a change from the those in easy walking distance from the apartment. The wonderfully sandy local beach and promenade in Arenales were quiet at the time of year we visited (mid March) but still very pleasant. We had a great, enjoyable stay here (especially when we heard about the snow falling in the UK!) and would certainly consider returning. Thanks a lot Paul and Glenda!

Very clean, well equipped peaceful & good transport links to Alicante & Santa Pola

Great location in a peaceful private residential area but with some local restaurants & a mini-market close by. Bus services to Alicante & Santa Pola reliable & reasonably frequent. The area also has a nice natural zone called Clot de Galvany which is good for a walk & bird watching. The apartment itself was clean & well equipped. The owner, Paul, was very helpful & approachable.

Apartment was spacious, lovely and clean. Kitchen very well equipped, everything you could need. English TV channels and a working TV!!. Nice big upper terrace off the lounge with sun loungers, table and chairs. Lovely views of the mountains, sea and surrounding areas. Location of the property is fantastic, close to Airport, Beach, Nature reserve, Shops and bar and restaurants without the use of a car.

Overall this is one of the best locations we have visited and will be returning next year. Paul was extremely helpful and informative with regards to the holiday booking.

This is the best holiday apartment we have stayed in. The apartment was immaculate and spacious with all the little extras that you could need. The information supplied during booking and prior to our stay was geat and being so near to the airport is so convenient. Within a few minutes walk there are several bars and restaraunts and there was a good variety. We particularly loved sitting outside on the terrace, the views are amazing and its a fantastic Sun trap, we hope to be back soon.

Car: recommended


The nearest beach known as Carabbassi is a fifteen minute walk or a couple of minutes by car.

Water sports are available. The beach road Los Arenales has numerous cafes and hidden restaurants.

There are several great beaches all within twenty minutes drive.


El ALtet(Alicante) airport is a ten minute drive from Gran Alicant.

Car Hire is recommended but not essential. Taxis are available(fares vary 18-25 euros dependant on time of day.

Local buses connect the towns of Santa Pola and Alicante.

Gran Alicant has a local Tourist road 'Train' useful for transport to local shopping centre and beach.


Gran Alicant is located 10km south of Alicante town with its beaches,awesome marina and shopping area's and 5km north of the traditional Spanish fishing Port of Santa Pola. The island of Tabarca is a short boat ride away from Santa Pola.

The popular tourist resort Benidorm is a 45 minute drive or a 30 min tram ride from the centre of Alicante.

Further Details:

There are several large supermarkets close by (20 min stroll) and a variety of bars and restaurants only 5 minutes walk.

Gran Alicant has its own market day on Thursday's whilst Santa Pola's massive market is held on Saturdays until 2pm.

The Clot is a renowned nature reserve only ten minutes walk with friendly walking trails,bird hides and picnic areas. The salt lakes outside Santa Pola are home to migratory birds most notably the famous flocks of Pink Flamingos can be observed. Flexible. To allow adequate time for changeovers we would ask guests to vacate by 10.30am on day of departure. For guests arriving: access after 3pm. These times are flexible dependant on bookings at the time.
