Dona Sofia is an exclusive block of apartments at the edge of the bustling town of Fuengirola. It is quiet, while being within a very easy walk of many and varied restaurants, shops and transport. This air conditioned two-bedroomed apartment is on the fourth floor, and is served by lifts. There is a full-time concierge and an English caretaker. The 'Blue-Flag' beach (with water sports, beach beds and brollies for hire) is just a few yards away, as are many restaurants and a children's play park. The sunny balcony has relaxing and dining facilities for four people. The fully equipped kitchen, the modern bathrooms and the spacious living area, with free WiFi and English TV, provide everything you might need, whether for a week or for a long let. The area is ideal at all seasons, with the wonderful soft climate for winter, the excellent beach for summer, the flowers and colours of spring and the ferias of autumn. Water and electricity are included. There is ample parking nearby and our secure underground parking space can be rented at a small cost.

A wonderful holiday
This apartment does everything it says on the tin!
Comfortable and quiet in the perfect place
Great communication and patience from Mike with my booking. Mike also arranged airport pick up and return with Sue who was great to meet and talk to. The apartment was perfect, plenty of room and had everything we needed. A very relaxing 11nights 1 minute from beach. Look forward to making another book as soon as possible.

Property situated in a great spot, close to the coast.
It is a great condo, but for what we paid we felt it needed to be updated. The whole place needs painting.
Chesterfields need to be replaced after years of use.
Mattresses in main bedroom are very soft - need to be replaced. Extra shelf in bathroom is needed.
Kitchen: A set of dishes would be welcomed. It is our understanding that this has been asked for before!

The apartment has been repainted throughout since you left - we are fortunate to have had a very busy few months and the redecoration has been planned for some time: this was the first available opportunity.
The matresses are soft but many of our guests like soft mattresses; the lounge furniture was considered in the Autumn but was felt to be entirely appropriate - especially for the busy periods of the year.
These items will be looked at again at the end of the Season, as is our practice.
All your suggestions regarding plates and other culinary items have been met; it is a shame that these requests were not made earlier in your stay, when their provision would have been of use to you. But no, these requests have not come to our attention before, or they would have been dealt with then - we like our guests to get the most out of their holidays with us.
As regards an extra shelf in the bathroom, we shall discuss this with our colleagues and, if felt appropriate it will be provided.
Having said all that, our local colleague tells us that you had a great holiday - in spite of the weather! For that we are delighted.

The apartment was very clean with a glorious sea view.
2 minutes stroll to the beach, 10 to a large supermarket & 20 the centre of Fuengirola.

Sue collected us from the airport and gave us good information on the area.
The apartment is over the road from the beach and a short stroll to the old town which has a lovely atmosphere and plenty of good eating houses.
The bus and train station take you to many locations efficiently so no real need to hire a car.
The apartment had everything required and more.

The Blue Flag 'Amalia' beach is 2 minutes walk from the apartment.
Malaga airport is less that half an hour away. Collection from/delivery to the airport can be arranged. The railway serves Fuengirola and Malaga airport.
Fuengirola is a day's drive from Santander or Bilbao and about 2 days' drive from the Channel ports.
Fuengirola Marina, with its ferry to Benalmadena, is 15 minutes stroll, as is the town centre.
Fuengirola castle is 5 minutes away and there are numerous attractions (zoo, water park) within easy reach.
A children's play park is 2 minutes walk away.
Mijas town (9 miles away) is a typical Andalusian White Village and there are many others worth visiting.
Ronda (20 miles away) is a fascinating medieval town.
Gibraltar - with its tax free status - is about an hours' drive.
A supermarket is 5 minutes walk away. There is a large shopping complex (Eroski) and a Multi-Screen Cinema about 15 minutes walk and there are Department Stores (Dunnes Stores and El Corte Ingles)at about the same distance.
There are several restaurants within 2 mins walk and many more within 10 minutes.
Banks and all major shops are in Fuengirola town centre, which is an easy 15 minute walk.
There is a very large Tuesday market in Fuengirola, and a Sunday market (selling ceramics, leather goods, etc.) takes place close by.
There is a car hire office next door to Dona Sofia.
All sorts of water sports (pedalos, water skiing, paragliding) are available along the beach.
Booking Notes: Please book with the owner. A £100 deposit is payable on booking. The balance is payable 28 days before the rental date. A £150 security bond is payable at the time of the final payment, which will be refunded, less any costs, shortly after the end of your holiday. It may be necessary to make a charge to meet you if you arrive later than 8 p.m. The charge for secure parking in the underground car park is 10 Euros per day (50 Euros per week), payable on site. Changeover Day: Changeover is flexible. Arrival is expected to be after 4 p.m. and departure before 10 a.m., although this can be negotiated with the caretaker. Notes on prices: Prices are quoted in Pounds but may be paid in Euros by arrangement. The rate of exchange will be that prevailing at the time of payment.
