Well equipped duplex house, with air conditioning (heating/cooling type). Roof Solarium—With 3 sun loungers, table and 4 chairs, offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean and panoramic views over Los Arenales and Alicante. Well positioned close to shops, supermarkets, banks, restaurants and bars. Thursday market is held in Gran Alacant. Good local tourist train service stops only 2 minutes from the house which serves the beach, bars and the main Gran Alacant Commercial Centre. Local buses provide regular services to Alicante and Santa Pola.

I live and work in Hampshire, England with my partner. We visit the house about 3 times a year and it has become our home from home. We love the area around Alicante and enjoy the sunshine.

Why Mr Keith Pead chose Santa Pola

I chose the area because of its close proximity to the airport, the glorious sunshine which is around 320 days per year and the fabulous Carabassi Beach.

What makes this house unique

We love the food at the superb restaurants in Gran Alacant, the friendly people and being close all the main facilities of Alicante. The beach is fantastic and is improving every year with new promenades and boardwalks being completed in recent years.

Perfect family holiday

This was our first family holiday abroad with our young kids (aged 5 and 3) and we loved it. The house was immaculate on arrival and looked exactly as it does in the pictures. It was well stocked with crockery, towels, bed linen etc and plenty of facilities if you want to cook. My personal favourite part of the house was the roof. Laying up there catching the sun whilst the kids had a siesta was so relaxing. I loved the privacy of staying here rather than a hotel and much prefer how much living space there is to a cramped hotel room with a separate bathroom.

The neighbours Dave and Shirley were lovely and told us of the best places to eat and drink on our first day which helped us find our feet and also the visitor book has some great tips on where to go.

The beach is stunning although walking to it is a lot easier than walking back up "cardiac hill" so would definitely advise to get a bus back up at 1€ or the little tourist train at 3€ which the kids loved. This stops up the square outside of a shop called See Litha which is not even a 5 minute walk from the house. The Unide supermarket is just along the next street and stocked everything you could need and has the freshest baked bread and fruit etc. Beautiful!

Susanne who looks after the property was brilliant. Keith was great throughout the booking process and always answered my queries very quickly. We loved it so much that we have already booked our return trip for next summer.

The Patagonia Steakhouse was our personal favourite restaurant for dinner and Zest did an amazing breakfast. Dream Corner and Dragon II was great for lunch. We also jumped on the train and went to the Irish bar Malones and ate in the restaurant next to this which was lovely although I can't remember the name of it unfortunately.

The swimming pool was brilliant and spotlessly clean throughout. All in all we loved it and can't wait to go back.

Loved the property. Clean. Everything you need is there.

The house had a lovely roof sun terrace. It's close to shops, beach, restaurants. Not far from airport so no need for a car.

Property clean and tidy but basic. No English speaking channels on TV and USB slot on TV broken so unable to use data stick which I had brought to entertain us. I was amazed as to how much the electricity meter took, ( 70 Euros in 3 and a half days and we only had air con unit on a few times for heat ). There was also a cleaning charge of 50 Euros, this is mentioned in the contract and I must admit that I had missed it in the small print. We had booked apartment for 2 weeks over Christmas but came home after 4 nights as we really did not like it. Luckily we had hired a car or would have not been able to see or do anything! I certainly would not say this apartment is central. Without a car would have been a chore to carry supplies from Supermarket i.e. heavy bottled water and drinks

The TV has Spanish channels a few of which can be watched in English, however there are no actual English Channels available. We confirm that the electricity is provided on a coin meter, which allows guests manage how much is used.

Great property, excellent location close to all amenities. Used the rooftop solarium all week as weather was brilliant. Couldn't fault anything about property and I will certainly recommend this and will be using again.

Really nice quiet relaxing holidat

We rented this house for 2 weeks it is well situated for Bars, restaurants, supermarket. the beach is a 15 minute walk but we had a car so much easier for getting back up the hill. The house was really well equiped. The air con was a god send there are fantastic views of Alicante from the roof top there was also a nice breeze up there which was great when sun bathing. Keith is very good and efficient with the booking providing lots of information. I would certainly go back

Only 1 km to the well renowned beautiful safe and sandy Carabassi Beach, which is only 10 minutes walk, or can be reached by the regular buses service or hourly Tourist Train


Alicante Airport is only 10 minutes drive and can be reached by taxi. Hire cars are readily available at Alicante Airport at probably the cheapest rates in Europe! Car hire is not essential due to the abundance of local transport.


Alicante City centre is only 10 miles from the house, and has Santa Barbara Castle which gives spectacular views and has superb shopping, beautiful beaches and a great cruise port to visit. Benidorm is 40 minutes drive North from the house where there are theme parks, water slides and Sea World attractions.

Local Markets are available near the house on Thursdays and at Santa Pola on Saturdays and Mondays which is only 5 miles South.

Further Details:

The Island of Tabarca is a fantastic island to visit which can be easily reached by boat from Santa Pola Harbour. The snorkelling is first class and there are great seafood restaurants to sample.

Refundable Damage Deposit £100

Booking Notes: A refundable £100.00 breakages/cleaning charge deposit is also required which will be refunded after the guests stay providing there are no breakages and the cleaning charge payment has been reported to have been paid and confirmed by our Managing Agent.
There is a locally payable 50 Euro (Up to 4 guests) 60 Euro (5 or more guests) Laundry/Cleaning Charge which must be left by the holidaymakers at the end of your stay at the house.
Electricity is payable by guests locally via a coin meter (Normal usage is 3-4 Euros per day)

Changeover Day:
Changeover day/time is fully flexible to suit the holidaymaker.

Notes on prices:
All prices exclude Laundry/Cleaning Charge of 50 Euros (60 Euros for more than 4 guests) which must be paid by the holidaymaker locally at the end of the stay. Cost for additional nights can be agreed upon request however typically £50.00 per night with a minimum of 3 nights outside of peak season - 7 nights min from start of July - End of August.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
