About Julia Woodford
We spent three years hunting for the perfect skiing apartment and we think that we have found it! We fell in love with Les Deux Alpes for all that it had to offer for the diverse needs of all the family: one powder-loving snowboarder and another fanatical adult skier who loves the piste; a jump-loving, rail-riding teenager; and four-year-old twins just finding their feet on the snow. Julia and Julien.

We love the location of the apartment for its proximity to the lifts/slopes (75m) coupled with its scenic location. Often disappointed ourselves on holidays in the past by slopes being further than we've been led to believe, or the need to take a succession of lifts to get to the main skiing area, being just 75m from a main lift with direct piste access is something we particularly relish. With all the hustle and bustle two minutes away when required (there are loads of reasonably priced restaurants and numerous bars just around the corner), it is heavenly to be able to escape into our quiet enclave in the old village with its stunning views.
What makes this Apartment unique
Having a duplex is great! With all the bedrooms on the upper floor, we don't have to worry when older children or adults want to stay up later. We have often found that in some ski rentals, there is more bed capacity than space at the table or in the lounge - here this is not the case, with a large living area. The view from our two balconies is unparalleled and these provide an excellent spot to enjoy the evening sunshine. Being one of just three independent apartments in the entire traditional wooden chalet ensures that we are not disturbed constantly by people coming and going as is the case in the larger residences.

Perfect location, gorgeous views
We went to Les2Alpes for the last week of the season and we were so happy to have stumbled upon this gem of an apartment. It was spacious, light and the views are fantastic. It’s around two minutes walk from the fastest chairlift in the resort.
All amenities are on the doorstep: butchers, bakers, (no candlestick makers) and supermarket - plus loads of bars and restaurants.
It’s a well equipped apartment with two bathrooms and three very big bedrooms. We had some nice moments on the balconies which are sunny all afternoon and evening.
We will be going back!
Missing these views already
Fabulous week in a perfect chalet! Two families inc strapping teenagers and younger kids - plenty of room and space for all and our ski/snowboard equipment. Really well equipped with everything we needed. Chalet is the lovely Venosc end of Les Deux Alpes - with stunning sunrise views of the mountains from the windows at breakfast and a great balcony for the view of the Diable mountain peaks in all their late evening sunset glory. Aperitifs out there on the balcony are a must. 5 mins walk to the Diable chairlift means we were on the slopes by 9:15am every day. Boulangerie & supermarket all very close. Only complaint is that we've had to come home (and one of us has returned in crutches). Still - we'd come back here in a heartbeat.
Wonderful! Gorgeous apartment, fantastic location!
Our family had a wonderful ski holiday the week before Christmas. We were very lucky with the snow and had fantastic conditions. The chalet is perfectly located. Near to ski lift and all amenities. It is spacious, light and airy while still being warm and cosy. The bedrooms are all large and the views of the glacier are stunning. The chalet is in the old village, full of quaint traditional buildings - really charming. We also really appreciated the end of stay clean - which was included in the price - and took the pressure off at the end of the holiday, meaning we could ski until the last moment. Will definitely be going back!
Amazing apartment, great location, stunning views. Perfect for a family holiday
We've just returned from a summer skiing holiday in Les Deux Alps. We stayed for 8 nights at Le Solaret. Our family of 4, 2 adults to children aged 12 and 10 had the most amazing time. The apartment is just minutes walk from the best part of the town which has some lovely shops, restaurants and super markets.
The apartment is well equipped and had everything we needed. The balconies are offer a small seat for sun bathing. The views from each window are just stunning. Everything was clean, modern and well looked after, even the wifi worked great (all the time)
The resort has loads to do during the summer from swimming in the man made lake or one of the two heated outdoor pools. The most popular right by the main square. The snow up on the glacier was fantastic and our girls progressed really well in the ski school recommended to us by both Julia and Sarah. We also enjoyed the summer luge track which like the swimming pool was free using out 4 day lift passes.
Hoping to return again for summer 2017.

Cosy and comfortable
We spent a week here with our two daughters (21 and 22). The apartment is ideally positioned close to all amenities, it is well equipped, warm and comfortable
Great apartment and great location close to Diable lift
We have just returned from a fantastic weeks stay in Le Solaret. Perfect snow and weather we were so lucky. The resort itself is large with plenty of options for eating out and in (as there are several supermarkets). The apartment is well equipped and an excellent location just a couple of minutes walk from the bottom of the Diable lift and the town centre but still in a quiet area. Great little restaurant at the top of the road and close to ski shop for rental of skis that offer lockers that you can ski back to at the end of the day. We hope to return next year.

Take the scenic year-round gondola (5-10 mins walk) from Les Deux Alpes to Venosc - a beautiful, artisan hillside village. Approximately a 45 mins drive away is Alpe d'Huez (daily buses) and one hour to Serre Chevalier ski areas (access to Alpe d'Huez for 2 days and 1 day in Serre Chevalier on a full 6 day lift pass). Weekly market 3 km away in Mont de Lans on Tuesdays; 20 km to Bourg d'Oisans - regional capital with large shops and supermarkets.
Les Deux Alpes is a fabulous resort in the summer time! Besides skiing and golf there are a host of other activities available: mountain-biking, parascending, white water-rafting, horse-riding, archery, ice-skating, go-karting, luge (toboggan), bowling and crazy-golf to name but a few...
Booking Notes: Bookings are taken with a 50% non refundable deposit then the final payment to be made prior to 45 days before arrival. In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel within 45 days of arrival, we reserve the right to keep the full payment unless we are able to rent out the property during the specified dates. We advise all our guests to take out travel insurance. Changeover Day: Saturday is the normal changeover day for this apartment but we recognize that long weekends and mid week breaks are popular and we therefore try to be as flexible as possible.
