About Caroline May

We bought Kylden when our kids were small. We wanted outdoor space big enough for them to run around and easy parking when we had a car full of stuff to take to the beach. We also wanted to be walkable to pubs, restaurants and shops to make our time in Cornwall as relaxing as possible.

We holiday here ourselves several times each year and have continued to improve the property and features as we have all got older! We hope you enjoy our home from home.

Caroline May purchased this bungalow in 2007

Why Caroline May chose Port Isaac

Why our cottage? Because it is well maintained and we continue to invest in it with a new roof and new terrace in the last year alone. Parking for 2 cars. Beautiful back garden and terrace with views to the hills across the village. Home of Doc Martin and Fishermen's Friends. Home comforts including dishwasher and washer dryer, Nespresso coffee, TV/DVD/Xbox 360. Any questions not answered on the site just ask!

What makes this bungalow unique

Beautiful views across Port Isaac from the back garden. Space to park up to 2 cars (a rare treat in the village). And of course the home of Doc Martin and the Fishermens Friends.

Excellent choice for staying in Port Isaac

  • 5 of 5

The property position could not have been better. A short walk to the village centre and harbour. A great view of the countryside from the kitchen/diner, main bedroom and south facing large terrace from which "Doc Martin's" house can be seen. The bungalow is spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The real test is whether we would stay here again if holidaying in Port Isaac or try somewhere else? We would definitely book this property again as we doubt it could be bettered. Thank you Caroline for an excellent holiday.

Kylden is absolutely immaculate and beautiful. The cottage is peaceful but yet conveniently located.

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in Kylden. The cottage exceeded our expectations. It is a charming, comfortable, and immaculate home. The owners made us feel like welcome guests and not just customers. The owner left a beautifully put together manual which covered everything we needed to know. I cannot day enough good things about this property. Our time here was very enjoyable and restful. We loved taking long rambles along the coastal paths. The coop had all we needed and the staff was very nice. The kitchen is well equipped. The linens are luxurious and the beds comfortable. The village is absolutely charming and the shopkeepers were so friendly. Our stay here was perfect and we were sad to leave and left happy and rested. Thank you Caroline for opening your home up to us. Five stars is not enough!

Port Isaac Charming Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is simply lovely...warm, welcoming, and clean. Located directly across the street from the co-op, this home made it convenient for grocery shopping and accessing an ATM. We enjoyed our week’s stay at Klyden and will cherish the memories made in our visit to Cornwall.

Wow! A massive thank you to Caroline! The bungalow is lovely and felt like we were at home. There is everything you could ever need. Beautiful stunning views at the rear of the property......stunning to wake up to.

A very handy co-op right in front of the property made it easy to get essential items.

Would highly recommend a stay in this lovely bungalow. My kids didn't want to leave!

Thank you also for our welcome bottle of wine ......a lovely surprise!
