A family run holiday home.
Robert Whitehead purchased this apartment in 2010
We decided on Seaview because of the seaview! Selsey has always been a holiday destination for the family therefore ten years ago we bought Mariners Cottage in Park Lane (also for rent) and in 2010 we bought Seaview as an alternative destination if the other house was occupied.
Fishing village
Enjoyed the nice location, house and beds. Feels like at home in NZ. Left some beer in fridge as a thanks.
Everything was super!!!! Thank you for good accommodation!!
We felt very comfortable and everything was as described. It's great to be greeted with a stocked refrigerator.
The beach is directly in the opposite and we could relax very well, walk and fly kites there. We visited towns nearby, London and seen a lot.
Very recommendable! Thanks for everything.
The property is in a fantastic location with the living room with a balcony overlooking the sea and sea views from two of the 3 bedrooms. The facilities provided in the property were excellent and it was very tastefully decorated. The initial provisions were gratefully received and a very nice touch. There were lots of facilities within a very short walk including play park, skate park and BMX track all within a stones throw from a lake and the beach. Shops within a 2 min walk includes a corner shop, wonderfully stocked bakery and a fish and chip shop. My family and I had the most memorable and relaxing holiday for a number of years. I went back to work after our 1 weeks stay thoroughly refreshed. We are already talking about going back.
Seaview was clean and tidy. Well located 300m walk from the beach. There was bread, milk and eggs supplied which is great when you arrive late on a Sat night. Some very pleasant surprises in the appartment - wide screen TV, DVD player, CD player, a selection of DVD and CD's, a selection of books for adults and children plus as many board games as you would want. The beach is pebble but it is excellent for swimming. Good playground nearby as well. Selsey has plenty of shops - cafe's, restaurant's , supermarket's, pharmacy's etc. Suitable place for a family holiday. Overall we were very impressed.
Pros
+ location, location, location!
+ BMX-track, Skate park and beaches around the corner
+ well equipped apartment, e.g. to cook, watch TV and many books and DVDs.
+ spacious apartment for our family of 4
+ clean apartment
+ Selsey has all the shops and pubs for a week's holiday
Cons
- waste bins were full when we arrived and not emptied during our stay
- water taps in kitchen and bathroom leak
- towels have some old strange stains. Replacement would have been appreciated
