This beautiful well appointed detached farmhouse set in large mature gardens, overlooks Mounts Bay, with views of St Michaels Mount. It nestles between the north and closer south coast of Cornwall, towards which there are many wonderful views. Gulval is a much sought after village on the outskirts of Penzance, and the farmhouse sits just up the hill from here, up a track that affords it peace and seclusion. Up the track from the house is a delightful path that is quite magical. It leads down through private woods to a beautiful winding stream, and you wouldn't want to be anywhere else! Penzance is a 20-30 minute walk or 5 minute drive away, and the railway station is a 20 minute walk down the road. Our home is in a quiet position, but within easy reach of local amenities.

About Noëlle Rorke
This has been home to us and our 5 children for over 20 years. It is still our home. The children have now all left home, and we are enjoying spending time when we can sailing, most recently across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. And so we have taken the opportunity to share our home, and our beautiful environment with others.
Noëlle Rorke purchased this Farmhouse in 1994

Stunning farmhouse in beautiful countryside
A perfect stay in a fabulous location! We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful family home. The house itself was wonderful - homey, comfortable and quirky and big enough for our large family gathering! It was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed including many books to read and films to watch for potential rainy days. The living spaces were spacious, pretty and comfortable. The gardens were lovely too - we loved stepping out of the patio doors into gorgeous, green gardens and sitting outside on the terrace or playing games on the grass. Useful local information was provided by Noelle, including directions to the woodland walk by the stream, straight from the door of the farmhouse. Noelle was always quick to respond to any questions we had and made arranging things very easy indeed. We really couldn't have asked for anything more for a very special family holiday.
A very thoughtful and welcome review from great guests who really got the best out of staying here in our home. I love the 'quirky' word! Never thought of using that to describe our home but yes, it does seem to fit! Thank you, and we look forward to welcoming you back again one day.
A beautifully welcoming family home.
The home was amazing, well equipped for all of the family and was exactly as advertised. The Aga was on when we arrived, and the wood burning stove was easy to light. Noelle was more than helpful, and provided clear and easy to follow instructions for the appliances, and the directions to the house were perfect. We have already recommended it as a possible location for a friends family gathering.
Perfect Holiday House for large groups
Before we even arrived at the property I knew we would be happy in the farmhouse; Noelle's communication has been amazing and cannot be faulted in anyway. She provided us with detailed information about the rooms, house and how to get to the property, we had nothing to worry about. There is plenty of parking and loads of space around the property. Each room was perfect for our needs, and we really felt comfortable though out the whole of our stay. The house is clean, well equipped and in an idyllic location. During our stay we had fun learning how to cook on an aga, we enjoyed each other’s company at meal times (plenty of seating space to eat all together), in an evening we chilled out on the comfy sofas in front of the log burner, we played the piano together, we played ball in the large garden, we explored our surroundings (take your walking boots… you have to do the woodland walk, it's amazing for all ages), we admired the gorgeous views from the bedrooms, we visited the sea, we loved every moment together in this gorgeous home... as I am writing this, I wish we were still there! I can't thank Noelle enough for letting us stay in her home and for her superb communication skills. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would love to stay here again x
Really lovely house for a large group, tucked away so nice and private and quiet.
We had a lovely few days at the property for a family get together. We really like this location as so many things to do within 30 minutes of Penzance. House was in good condition, was warm and comfortable and very clean. Lovely views from its elevated position over towards St Michaels Mount.
Excellent weekend stay. Beautiful house. Perfect for large groups.
Gorgeous house with a large kitchen - perfect for large groups or big family. Host Noelle is very easy to communicate with and provides excellent information prior to arrival.
Absolutely amazing holiday farmhouse home!!
We cannot rate this farmhouse highly enough! Absolutely amazing home with a warm, inviting ambience. We booked it because of the kitchen and it did not disappoint in the slightest (we even got friendly with the aga oven and loved it). The location is secluded enough for privacy but also close to local amenities and beautiful beaches. There is definitely something for everyone here and the owner is lovely to deal with. We will definitely return one day.
