Meadow View is a well equipped and tastefully furnished 'home from home' set in the peaceful village of Sedgeford & has a large garden with picturesque views of the valley below. It's an excellent base for exploring the Norfolk countryside or simply relaxing with a good book in front of the cosy wood burning fire. There is a large timber deck to the rear overlooking the garden mainly laid to lawn but with a pretty meadow (with it's own winding path for children to discover) at the bottom and a trampoline ready to be jumped on! There is ample parking on the driveway.

About Melanie Minns
I live in Oxford with my husband, two children and our nutty Border Terrier called Moose. We bought Meadow View in 2005 after completely falling in love with Norfolk (and all it has to offer) during a friends wedding the year previously. Since then it has transformed from being merely a holiday cottage to a much loved second home and has proved to be an idyllic retreat for both ourselves, our family and friends. We are now looking forward to sharing it with you . . .

The location of meadow view is just perfect. Lots to do on sunny or rainy days.
We would highly recommend meadow view. The beaches are fabulous. Brancaster remains a firm favorite. South Hunstanton is also beautiful. The seal safari was so much fun and the Norfolk Lavender Farm is well worth a visit. Spoilt for choice for things to do come rain or shine. House is perfect with everything you could possibly need. Good dvd selection and fantastic book selection. We will return! Xxx
Well equipped cottage
We had 1 week in this very homely cottage, it has everything you need for your stay, plus a very secure large garden if you are talking a dog, ours loved chasing the pigeons it kept her amused up and down the garden. The deck is nice to sit and have your breakfast and lunch while enjoying the views. If you are lucky you might even catch a glimpse of the barn owl hunting in the paddock at the side.
We founds the beds very comfortable, and the whole cottage very well equipped, in fact we had no issues with the cottage at all, one of the best we have rented and would rent again in the future.
Home from Home
Can't wait to go back. Cottage is great and in easy reach of north Norfolk beaches.
Just loved it and good value for money
Our second visit did not disappoint!!
Once again we spent a very comfortable week at Meadow View. The cottage provides everything you need and is a great base from which to explore Norfolk. There is a lovely dog friendly garden and the decked area is a wonderful sun trap and ideal for outdoor eating. The village is peaceful and has a great inn (the King William) which does delicious food and again is dog friendly. When we knew we were coming back to Norfolk (the first time to walk Peddars Way, this time to walk the Norfolk Coast Path) we had no hesitation in booking Meadow View again and will certainly do so again if we return in the future. If you're looking for a comfortable, well equipped cottage in a peaceful rural setting but that is close to the coast and places like King's Lynn, Norwich etc and loads of interesting places to visit then give Meadow View a try - I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Well equipped, clean, bright, welcoming with lots of socialising room including garden
This property is well cared for, clean, airy, bright and very well equipped including little touches like herbs in the cupboards and logs for the fire. Our family consisted of four adults, two young children and two lazy whippets who also enjoy a mad half hour running at ridiculous speeds - which they did in the fabulous garden which was superb for dogs and children alike, they all spent hours outside. The trampoline in the garden was a bonus! Bedrooms were comfortable, the sitting room very cosy in the evenings once the children were in bed. There is a massive dining table in the open plan dining room/kitchen which was so handy, we could cook, chat, play games at the table etc all at the same time. There is lots to do in the area and the cottage is not far from anywhere you might want to go. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly, top class service. I would recommend this cottage with no hesitation.
Lovely cottage in great part of the country
We spent a week here over New Year. The cottage is well equipped & was perfect for our family of 4 (plus small pooch). We enjoyed exploring the area & then snuggling by the wood burner in the evening. The fireworks on Cromer pier on New Year’s Day were fantastic & were well worth the drive.
Communication with the owner both before and during the stay was good and assistance was quickly arranged for a plumbing problem.
We would highly recommend this holiday cottage & hope to return in the future.
There are lots of beaches within easy reach. The pebbly Snettisham and Heacham coastline is only 10 minutes drive away. The extremely sandy Brancaster beach is 15 minutes drive while Wells beach with it's picturesque beach huts and dunes is 25 minutes away.
