Meadow View is a well equipped and tastefully furnished 'home from home' set in the peaceful village of Sedgeford & has a large garden with picturesque views of the valley below. It's an excellent base for exploring the Norfolk countryside or simply relaxing with a good book in front of the cosy wood burning fire. There is a large timber deck to the rear overlooking the garden mainly laid to lawn but with a pretty meadow (with it's own winding path for children to discover) at the bottom and a trampoline ready to be jumped on! There is ample parking on the driveway.

About Melanie Minns
I live in Oxford with my husband, two children and our nutty Border Terrier called Moose. We bought Meadow View in 2005 after completely falling in love with Norfolk (and all it has to offer) during a friends wedding the year previously. Since then it has transformed from being merely a holiday cottage to a much loved second home and has proved to be an idyllic retreat for both ourselves, our family and friends. We are now looking forward to sharing it with you . . .
Wonderful, cosy cottage in great location
My dogs Riley and Alfie and I had a wonderful stay at Meadow View Cottage 29 December - 5 January. The cottage itself is extremely well kitted out, has a fantastic kitchen with a bathroom downstairs (with a bath) as well as a shower room and toilet upstairs. The furnishings and decor are really nice and the log burner was lovely and cosy. It was also great having a washing machine, tumble dryer and spare fridge/freezer in the outbuilding just outside. The garden was amazing! Fully enclosed for my 2 hounds, who thoroughly enjoyed racing down the garden to chase pheasants! Location wise, excellent. We know the area well and the cottage is very well placed for visiting Old Hunstanton, Holme and Thornham beaches. Easy to get to supermarkets in Hunstanton if required. All dog friendly pubs in the area. Also a big thank you for the welcome pack, much appreciated! Very helpful and friendly owner when asking questions before booking and a query during our stay. I would definitely recommend Meadow View Cottage and the hounds and I would love to return! Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage.
Perfect village getaway
We had such a lovely Christmas in Sedgeford, it's a beautiful little village with welcoming residents and the house was perfect for what we needed. It was cosy, warm (especially with the log burner on!) and had all the amenities we needed. Having 2 bathrooms was a big advantage with there being 5 of us, plus the big garden meant the dog was happy too. We would definitely book this property again. Thank you.
Cozy cottage in great location
Cottage is very close to Norfolk Lavender and Sandringham. Nice beaches nearby at Heacham, Hunstanton and Titchwell. About 45 min drive to get to Cromer, Holt etc further east.
The cottage is warm, really nicely decorated and has a v well equipped kitchen which makes self catering so much easier. Garden great for the kids to play football and they enjoyed the trampoline too.
The location of meadow view is just perfect. Lots to do on sunny or rainy days.
We would highly recommend meadow view. The beaches are fabulous. Brancaster remains a firm favorite. South Hunstanton is also beautiful. The seal safari was so much fun and the Norfolk Lavender Farm is well worth a visit. Spoilt for choice for things to do come rain or shine. House is perfect with everything you could possibly need. Good dvd selection and fantastic book selection. We will return! Xxx
Well equipped cottage
We had 1 week in this very homely cottage, it has everything you need for your stay, plus a very secure large garden if you are talking a dog, ours loved chasing the pigeons it kept her amused up and down the garden. The deck is nice to sit and have your breakfast and lunch while enjoying the views. If you are lucky you might even catch a glimpse of the barn owl hunting in the paddock at the side.
We founds the beds very comfortable, and the whole cottage very well equipped, in fact we had no issues with the cottage at all, one of the best we have rented and would rent again in the future.
Home from Home
Can't wait to go back. Cottage is great and in easy reach of north Norfolk beaches.
Just loved it and good value for money
There are lots of beaches within easy reach. The pebbly Snettisham and Heacham coastline is only 10 minutes drive away. The extremely sandy Brancaster beach is 15 minutes drive while Wells beach with it's picturesque beach huts and dunes is 25 minutes away.
