The cottage was delightful. Peaceful, well equipped and in a lovely location. We will come again!
We would highly recommend this cottage. Well equipped and hidden away, so peaceful. You will need a car, but everything you need is a short drive away. Organisation was easy with Gill who is so easy to deal with.
The cottage is delightful and well equipped. If you are looking for tranquility and charm, this is the place for you. Thank you Gill.

Thanks so much for your comments. Glad you appreciated the cottage and its surroundings.
Lovely, quiet village get-away.
Zoe Cottage is in a very quiet village about 10 minutes drive up from the coastal road at Chrani, so as the description says, you need a car. It is incredibly quiet there and very picturesque.
The cottage itself is very tastefully furnished and has everything you need. We did need the mosquito net and plenty of repellent! It was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. I loved making use of the hammock on the patio every afternoon.
There are lots of tavernas in Chrani and two supermarkets. If you like the beach there are several areas to choose from along the coast road and if you like antiquities you are spoilt for choice. There are lovely ports with castles such as Koroni and Methoni; Messini and Nestor's Palace (archaeological sites) are within fairly easy driving distance. There is a lovely nature reserve not too far away where we saw flamingos and birds of prey. The whole area was delightful, with olive groves on green grass everywhere.
I would highly recommend the property and the area.
Lovely, slightly quirky, very peaceful cottage.
We really wanted to get away from it all and chill out on holiday this year and we weren't disappointed.
Gill was a pleasure to deal with and booking was a smooth and easy process. Directions were excellent and everything was ready for us.
The village is quite remote and very quiet and the cottage is at the end of dead-end lane, so no passing traffic noise. There's a sheltered terrace in front with comfortable furniture.
The internal layout is quite unusual and is mainly open-plan. The double bed is in an alcove off the living area and there's a separate, small twin-bedded room. They beds are quite comfortable and plenty of bedding and pillows are available. The bathroom (with a good water heater) is also off the living area. The weather was still quite warm and the air-conditioning was welcome at night.
The accommodation is compact and basic, but that's not a criticism. Everything was clean and in good working order and met all of our needs perfectly. Had there been any problem the very helpful, english-speaking Stephan was on hand to help.
We had an extremely relaxing, stress-free holiday and have no complaints at all about Zoe Cottage. We've rented many self-catering cottages and this was one of the nicest and certainly the best value for money by a long way.
I'm so glad you had a good holiday and appreciated the cottage. Thanks for your comments which I'm sure will be helpful to future guests.
away from it all, but comfortable. Great if you want some rest in a beautiful surrounding
We loved to stay in the cottage. Nice and quiet. Up the hill, so you need your car to drive to the village on the coast for swimming and shopping. Its nicely located alas without a good view of the bay. Property is not big but has all you need , is clean reasonably well maintained. If you don't mind that you have to drive to the villagers is perfect place to stay, relax on the porch and drink some wine.
The are plenty of things to do in the surrounding areas. You can even rent a boat in the nearby port of Agios Konstantinos for a day sailing.
Peaceful Holiday in Idyllic Mountain Village
The cottage was ideal for two people (the additional bedroom with two single beds was quite small). Everything was as described and clean. We did miss an oven or grill, though, where we could have cooked fish or lamb. Sitting outside was a pleasure but you do need anti-bug spray! The neighbors were friendly and very helpful. The cottage was ideally situated--just a short drive to the beach, and not too far from the airport (30 min.) and from scenic sites like Ancient Messini, Pylos, or the beautiful Voidokilia. Beach. We had an enjoyable time and would gladly go back again!
Thanks for your comments Raoul. I agree with all you say. We love the cottage because of it’s simplicity and so we have used the griddle pan to cook meat and fish but will consider
the addition of a small oven/grill. Its a good idea to cover up when sitting out in the evenings and the coil burners are an effective mosquito deterrent on the terrace.
Beaches are 10 minutes drive downhill from the cottage.
The nearest airport is Kalamata which is a 40 minute drive from the property.
