A breath taking Cottage we will return
Yes it rained but never spoilt the holiday and must say all the locals were so friendly.
only thing i would say, hardly any phone signal, which in a way was lovely
Wish i stayed longer
Extremely relaxing location
We had a really good time staying at the property, the property was lovely with some fantastic surroundings. We were thankful for the little welcome pack we received. We took a trip to the Brecon Beacons and into Hereford. We all had a good time and would visit again well worth the value.
Marvellous country getaway
We really enjoyed our time in the property. Excellent spacious accommodation with a modern/new kitchen and shower room. Garden extends all the way around the house. Would recommend to families with small children - our 5 & 7 year olds loved it. Walk them in to the ground for peaceful evenings! Plenty to see in the local area - the scenery is quite stunning. Not too isolated - roads are very quiet. Managed to get Fish n Chips back to the house from Kington. 12 minutes - still hot! Vital. Gerry, the owner is a delight to deal with - comprehensive instructions.
Home from home
Situated in a lovely, peaceful location in picturesque surroundings, the cottage is very spacious and extremely well equipped. It is an ideal base to explore the nearby Brecon Beacons.
On arrival, the property was freshly stocked with essentials such as milk, tea and coffee, and was spottlessly clean. All the appliances in the property are new and for a rural location, the wi-fi was excellent. The garden is pretty and well maintained - a perfect place to sit in peace and privacy with your early morning coffee - weather permitting of course.
There was also a wealth of local information provided, from walking routes to emergency contacts in the area. The owner, Geraldine, could not have been more helpful.
I wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone visting the area.
Perfect place to stay
We had a fantastic stay as a family. The description of the location and facilities was accurate although the location was more picturesque than I anticipated. The property was spotless and clean and very comfortable and homely. I would thoroughly recommend staying here to enjoy sightseeing the local area taking in the local food, drink and scenery. You can adapt a trip here to suit so may different visitors and their needs,; sightseeing, rural, families and those needing a break away. Totally idilllic but with plenty of fun to be had.
An Easter Treat Without the Chocolate
It was a very last minute decision to get away for Easter but the challenge was where to go. 2014 has been a very difficult year so far so we wanted somewhere where we could just unwind and forget about everyday issues.
A friend had recommend Llwyn Onn and having looked at the details on Owners Direct it looked perfect. I contacted Gerry and she was incredibly helpful and had thought of everything to make our stay so enjoyable. We arrived late at night but Gerry had made sure that the heating was on so it was lovely and warm when we landed in Newchurch.
Llywn Onn is a lovely bungalow set in a stunning, well established garden. The perfect spot to enjoy that early morning cuppa or that glass of wine before dinner or just to sit and relax. It is very clean, modern and well maintained and has everything you would need for a really enjoyable stay. Gerry has definitely thought of everything. The shower is fabulous and just the right size for two! Very comfy bed too.
We are both keen walkers (and enjoy the odd pub lunch) and like to cycle so it made for a great base. If you like water sports then you can go kayaking in Hay on Wye which is about a 15 minute drive away. A lovely, quirky town and the perfect spot to browse, especially if you are a bookworm.
There is so much to see and do but it just wasn't possible to cram in everything we wanted to do so it is a good excuse to go back. We both felt very rested.
One of the highlights of our stay was seeing a Red Kite close up as it flew over the garden.
Gerry had recommended several nice pubs but unfortunately we just didn't have time to visit them all.
We had a really lovely break and would definitely stay at Llwyn Onn again.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Llwyn Onn.
