About Lizzie Fairhurst
We bought our house in 2006 when our eldest daughter was just turning 3. I had worked for Toni & Guy as a training manager in the centre of Manchester for a number of years and wanted to spend my time with my daughter. This area of France offered us everything we needed, wonderful views, space, fabulous wine, but yet close enough to a big city, Bordeaux. We have had a wonderful time here enjoying the countryside and the people, who are warm and friendly. we now have two children who go to the local schools and are completely immersed in French life. We love the area as it gives us the peace, quiet and space we so craved in the UK.

Why Lizzie Fairhurst chose Coubeyrac
We chose this area of France as it had a diverse countryside and a dry sunny climate. We have early warm springs, long warm summers, late autumns and short winters. Our house is 1 hour from the beautiful cultural city of Bordeaux and 45 mins from the smaller but equally beautiful city of Bergerac.
What makes this Apartment unique
We love the great views from our pool area and the peace and quite. All you will want to do is it and drink in the calm and relax.

Superbly presented with a huge chill factor.
The location was wonderful for us since we were attending a wedding at the extremely impressive Chateau Soulac. On arrival the delightful welcome basket was just as appreciated as the presentation of the give. Typically French, the building and gardens ooze charm and character. Lizzie and her girls are lovely and make you feel totally comfortable. Certainly a place to recommend.
So good we're going back!
The perfect base for a relaxing family holiday, with stunning views over beautiful vineyards. As soon as we arrived, the natural surroundings took our breath away and we relaxed immediately. The Gite was accurately described, spotlessly clean, well-designed and homely, with everything you could need. The owners were lovely - friendly and helpful, but respectful of our privacy throughout the holiday. The location was ideal and we often popped out for a short drive to a local town or market in the morning, canoeing or sightseeing, then spent a lazy afternoon by the pool, reading books before lighting the BBQ! One of our most memorable days out was to Saint Emilion, wandering around the cobbled streets and sitting in a café eating Galettes, whilst watching the world go by. Another favourite was our visit to Chateau de Claribes, a local organic vineyard, where we had a tour and a wine-tasting (even though it was raining that day, it didn't spoil our enjoyment). We had a wonderful, memorable family holiday, made new friends and can't wait to return next year - see you soon Lizzie!
We stayed at the Tuillerie for a week in July / August. We had a very friendly welcome from the owners, who conveniently live next door and are on hand to provide local knowledge without being intrusive. The welcome pack was perfect to make a great start to your break. The accommodation is well appointed and beds very comfortable. The kitchen is excellently equipped and has a range of modern white goods. The views and surrounding area to the Gite are just what you'd expect from the Dordgne - vineyards, corn and sunflower fields. The occasional deer even strolled through the gardens. The nearest Boulangerie is about 5-10 mins drive away, and Gensac for great food and WINE not much further. I would highly recommend this delightful Gite which is well maintained by friendly and suportive owners.
It was lovely to meet you and your family and happy you enjoyed your stay at our Gite
