Fortress Cottage Sleeps 2 (1 Bedroom)
BleatarnPark Holiday Cottages
About Anne Jordan
I am a married mother of 2 daughters, enjoying the country life with our array of pets [sheep, dogs, cats & hens]. I look forward to welcoming you!
Anne Jordan purchased this Cottage in 1949
Why Anne Jordan chose Carlisle
Bleatarn Park has been in family ownership for over a hundred years. Formerly a redundant barn, its has been our dream to renovate and convert this beautiful building into holiday cottages for many years - a dream which we turned into reality in 2012. Bleatarn's peaceful location is a haven for nature lovers and we made the original farmhouse [adjacent] our own home over 20 years ago. What we love about the location is that despite the fact it is so peaceful, it is far from remote. A fifteen minute drive will bring you right into the city centre of Carlisle. A little further afield - the beautiful Lake District is only a 40 minute drive
What makes this Cottage unique
The property's location is absolutely unique - if you want to be close to Hadrians Wall, you wont get any closer than this! We are literally a stones-throw from the line of the wall and the now world famous pathway that stretches its entire length. Residents enjoy exclusive access to the wall path, via a private pathway The accommodation is cosy, yet stylish with all of the little touches that make your stay special - enjoy our welcome pack, that includes fresh-laid eggs from our own hens
Minimum age of primary renter:18

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay.
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to seeing you again.
Very pleasant break
The property was excellent and the kitchen well stocked with utensils. Only criticism was the bed was a little small ,don't get me wrong its a full size double ,but we have got used to a super king so perhaps we've been spoilt . Would we stay again, absolutely ,for visiting all the Roman sites its ideally placed and in a very pleasant and peaceful location.
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Anniversary trip away
Nice quiet site, but still in reach of amenities. Owner friendly and welcoming
Perfect for a couple
Very clean, modern and well equipped & presented barn conversion. Perfect for a relaxing stay.
Anne (owner) could not do enough and was readily available whenever I had a question about the area (looking for a new home) and I'm already looking forward to returning to her establishment in the not too distant future. Highly recommended to single stayers like myself, small families and those with four paws too.
Thank you very much for your lovely comments.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Lovely Stay and amazing hosts!
We both absolutely loved our stay! Unfortunately the weather was terrible, but it didn't affect our stay one bit! We had everything we needed in 'Fortress'. We will definitely be coming back next year and recommending to friends and family.
Thank you all :)
Thank you very much for the excellent review.
