Why Anne Jordan chose Carlisle
Bleatarn Park has been in family ownership for over a hundred years. Formerly a redundant barn, its has been our dream to renovate and convert this beautiful building into holiday cottages for many years - a dream which we turned into reality in 2012. Bleatarn's peaceful location is a haven for nature lovers and we made the original farmhouse [adjacent] our own home over 20 years ago. What we love about the location is that despite the fact it is so peaceful, it is far from remote. A fifteen minute drive will bring you right into the city centre of Carlisle. A little further afield - the beautiful Lake District is only a 40 minute drive
What makes this Cottage unique
The property's location is absolutely unique - if you want to be close to Hadrians Wall, you wont get any closer than this! We are literally a stones-throw from the line of the wall and the now world famous pathway that stretches its entire length. Residents enjoy exclusive access to the wall path, via a private pathway The accommodation is cosy, yet stylish with all of the little touches that make your stay special - enjoy our welcome pack, that includes fresh-laid eggs from our own hens

No smoking allowed in the property. People must respect other guest staying and be mindful of making too much noise. No pets allowed. Children welcome
100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date. 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
Superb location, property and owners
A lovely place to stay close enough to loads of different places to visit. Perfect for children too with the farm animals viable from the window, whilst peaceful at night. The owners were very friendly and responsive throughout the booking process and during our stay. We had a wonderful time and will be coming back again soon.

A great place to stay
This is our third stay at Bleatarn Park. The location is perfect - great access to the Lakes, the northern Pennines and Carlisle, and there is direct access onto the Hadrian's Way walk. The cottages are very comfortable and have everything you need - a perfect home from home. They are set in beautiful, peaceful countryside yet not far from great eateries and shops. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Centurion last month and had a fabulous time. The accommodation is finished to a really high standard, was extremely clean and comfortable and the views are fantastic. The owners Anne and Jonathan are very friendly and have thought of all the things you could need and provided them in the cottage, including a welcome pack. There's also a laundry room, barbeques and outside seating areas.
It's a great location for Hadrian's Wall and the surrounding area. I'm very happy to recommend Bleatarn and will definitely stay there again next time we holiday in that area.
