Spacious detached house with 5 bedrooms (2 with ensuite) and private garden

Dolphin Rock offers spacious and luxurious accommodation for up to 9 + cot. There is a private beach (residents only) a short walk from the house. The beautiful historic harbour of Charlestown is also just down the road from Dolphin Rock where you can enjoy a cocktail or lunch/cream tea/dinner/live music in The Boathouse. The Eden Project is a 10min drive and St Austell is within a 5min drive and offers supermarkets, cinema and shopping centre. On the ground floor, there is a large sitting room, dining room & fully-equipped kitchen with dining area. The sitting room & kitchen/diner both lead out to a beautiful garden with raised decked area- perfect for summer evenings. Free wifi and Sky tv with family package. There is also a more formal dining room and wc. The 1st floor offers 2 large double bedrooms both with en suites (one with shower, the other with bath/shower) & also a small 3rd bedroom with a single bed. On the 2nd floor, there are 2 further double bedrooms, one also with a cot-bed. There is also a 3rd bathroom (with bath) on the 2nd floor.

Dolphin Rock offers off-street parking for up to 3 cars.

High-chair/stair-gate available free of charge.

Great house , quiet , good location.

My family stayed in Dolphin Rock for a week from the 6th Aug. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us and a busy 2 and 4yr old in the house. Everything we needed was provided and Karen the owner even brought us more mugs and 2 bottles of local wine. The rooms were fine though it would have been nice to have a shower( above the bath?) in the 2nd floor bathroom. Quiet location and short walk to the beach and Charlestown. Wreckers was a great place to eat also the museum is well worth a visit. We had a great week even the weather was kind.

Good location.

Dolphin rock was comfortable, the location was good. Over priced for the accomodation, have stayed in more luxurious accomodation for the same price with lovely welcome food packs and everything you needed, even beach chairs and windbreaks have been available at other holidays accomodation. Overall, dolphin rock needs a good clean, repaint, and a few extra touches would have been nice, after all it wasn't cheap!!

Owner's Response: I am glad you enjoyed your stay at Dolphin Rock, but am sorry that you do not feel it was value for money. The house is incredibly costly to run and is priced in accordance with the going rate as recommended by market professionals. We do not offer welcome packs since often guests either do not drink, are gluten free or dairy free.... The cost of a welcome pack would again be reflected in a higher rate and most guests have expressed that they would prefer to have a lower rental rate. In respect of cleanliness, I have myself now visited the house and found that a few bulbs needed replacing and the skirting boards were in need of a good dust. These issues have been addressed and I shall also look at providing beach chairs etc. It is always good to know what the house is missing! Many thanks for your feedback.

Fantastic

The house was beautiful and perfect for our extended family. We all had a fantastic time and hope to go again. It was fantastic to be able to walk to 'our own' beach and down to Charlestown. We would highly recommend a visit.

Perfect in every way!

We were utterly stunned when we arrived at Dolphin Rock! We have been going to Cornwall for our yearly break since i can remember, but this house beats anywhere hands down. It is fantastically equipped and beautifully decorated! Our only regret is that we could not stay FOREVER! Dolphin Rock is in the perfect location with fantastic local amenities and the residents beach is a real bonus. Also highly recommend The Rashleigh Arms for the carvery. We will certainly be back but will try to stay for much longer next time! Thank you for a relaxing break.

Ideal location

Dolphin Rock was well equipped and very homely. We had a lovely stay and did not want to go home. The owners have made it very child-friendly- so much so that our children wanted to stay at the house instead of going out. We will definitely be back next year!

Dolphin Rock is a fabulous holiday house either for one family/ for two families to share or indeed a large group of up to 9 adults. It is fully equipped with all the essentials to make for a relaxing break in Cornwall. It is within easy walking distance from the residents only beach and also within a 5 Min walk from the famous harbour of Charlestown which boasts 2 pubs and a few restaurants and tea-rooms. Porthpean is also within a 15 min walk and is ideal for children as it is in a sheltered bay. Dolphin Rock is in an ideal location from which you can explore Cornwall either by foot or by car and is within easy reach of coastal walks and cycle paths.

St Austell is a short drive from Dolphin Rock and offers a new cinema complex, ten-pin bowling, sports centre and swimming pool. Of course St Austell also caters for the day-to-day needs so getting in the last minute BBQ bits and some wine is not a chore.

A maximum of 2 dogs will be considered at Dolphin Rock (please enquire), but an additional cleaning cost of £70 per dog is payable.
