House in Newquay, Gated Development, For Surfers And Families, Open Beach Views
About Peter Kumik
We are a family living in Exeter. We have two children aged 15 & 16 years and this is our holiday home. We enjoy the countryside doing lots of outdoor activities including surfing.
Peter Kumik purchased this House in 2012
Why Peter Kumik chose Newquay
We have friends with an apartment in Newquay that we have used regularly over many years. Pentire is a quiet area and has the beach at the doorstep but is also an easy walk into the town where there are all the shops and things to do for the kids that you need. Last Christmas we saw the house in Hatfield Crescent advertised and decided it was exactly what we wanted as a family holiday home. We often spend holiday weeks and weekends in Newquay all year round so we knew we would use it. It was also such an obvious holiday rental we hope to cover some of our costs by letting it out when we are not using it.
What makes this House unique
Multiple rooms in the property overlook Fistral beach which is a short walk from the front door. You can spend hours in any conditions relaxing on the sofa with a coffee or glass of wine just watching the surf and beach. More to the point you can pick your conditions if you want to catch the best waves. There are plenty of surf hire shops and surf schools within an easy walk. Newquay has an aquarium the kids love to go back to visit, mini golf, a golf course, sports facilities such as climbing, swimming, tennis, boating pool, plenty of shops and bars as well as cliff walks and easy access to all the beautiful beaches and towns of north Cornwall.

Fabulous house. The most amazing views. Fantastic location. Loved it.
Lovely house in a very good location
We booked the house with 3 teenage boys and a dog tow. It worked perfectly for us. The location, (a few minutes walk from the steps to the beach) couldn't have been better and the 2 17 year olds were pleased to be able to walk into the centre of Newquay in about 15 minutes, Fistral beach provided great entertainment for all of us, with surf lessons and a vast expanse of beach all very close by.
The house itself was a great find. We loved the ground floor entrance with the shower handily located as you come in from the beach and the utility room with space to hang wetsuits and a small sink / shower that proved very useful to clean the sand off the dog! Whoever knew you could have utility room envy!! The rest of the house was well laid out and extremely well equipped for all our needs. The views from the sitting room and the master bedroom are lovely. Even the dog was transfixed. Our 13 year old son was very keen on the hot tub.
Peter the owner was helpful and quick to respond with access details and various information re the house.
We had a brilliant time and will almost certainly return.

What a fantastic property. Well situated for the beach and town. You can't go wrong here. The property was equipped with everything you would need and the welcome pack was a nice touch. A true home from home. We would definitely come back to this property in the future.
3rd time we have stayed everything perfect as usual would highly recommend
the house is very nice with stunning views of fistral beach which is just across the road and down some steps. the house has everything you need and is a perfect place to stay for beach lovers.
A fabulous home in a great location
The immediate impression when walking through the door is how clean and tidy it is, then as you explore the rest of it, it just gets better. The layout is great and waking up from the master bedroom to see the sea is amazing! The same on the floor below, where you can see it from the seating area. The kitchen is so well equipped, you could even pipe icing on a cake should you wish to do so, that's the level of detail they have gone to. The Jaccuzzi adds an extra level of quality with another shower room on the ground floor, perfectly positioned for washing sand off as you walk through the door from the beach. We loved it, and will definitely return. If they could sort the weather next time, that would be perfect :-)
