About Jon Kelly
We are a family of 5, including 3 young children. We have family ties to the area and have always loved it. We have taken the opportunity to buy a seaside bolt-hole that we can enjoy ourselves and rent out to others. We have recently acquired another 2 bed caravan "Seaview" which is a stone's throw from "Coastal", sleeping 4. Perfect for those wishing to stay away with friends or family. "Seaview" also has a washing machine which is very handy!
Jon Kelly purchased this Mobile Home in 2012
Why Jon Kelly chose Saltburn-by-the-Sea
We love being by the sea, it's an affordable way to enjoy a relaxed family break. Caravans appealed to our kids when they were younger, feels cosy, relaxed and there's not too much space to keep tidy! The decking outside is nice for a glass of wine while the kids are in bed or watching TV in the living room (still enough areas to get a break from each other when needed whilst always being close by).
What makes this Mobile Home unique
It's just so conveniently situated for the beach andvictorian seaside town of Saltburn. One of us can be walking the dogs on the beach with the kids, whilst the other is walking around the Saltburn checking out the every growing number of lovely shops or buying dinner. Perfect! Lots of nice cafes, restaurants and bars nearby. Guests receive a 15% discount on full price beauty treatments at The Amber Rooms situated at The Spa Hotel Saltburn. www.thespahotelsaltburn.co.uk 01287 622544 (Quote CARAVAN) and Guests dining at the hotel for a 3 course meal also receive a free glass of wine or pint of beer on the house. Our New Gem
Husband, dog and i had a wonderful time on our 5 days and 4 night stay. The site neighbours were so friendly and helpful. great to give dog a short morning walk around the site or a day on the beach via a short beautiful walk through the attached woods. A morning cuppa on the deck planning your day was so relaxing and comfortable.
Sultburn by the sea is a fantastic gem that we are already thinking about our next trip and stay at the caravan. Was so good to spend a relaxing evening at back at the caravan after an active day on the beach!
Thank you to the owner and great staff who welcomed us in and gave of what we could find in the local area.
Locals also gave us a really good review of the only local vet near by who doesnt believe in charging the earth to help our fury loved ones.
food was yummy, best fish and chips at the Seaview or a square pizza at Marcos and a wonderful selection of ice cream flavours everywhere!
This caravan is too old for a holiday let.
The steps are uneven and dangerous. Although the owners have tried to update the facilities with todays technology. The use of several extension leads and multiple sockets made me question their safety.
This caravan should be replaced.
The caravan had all we needed. Close to the beach and town. Will def book again!
Lovely family break in peaceful location
The caravan was spotlessly clean on arrival and key collection was easy. A welcome pack of bread milk and jam was a thoughtful touch. The beds were comfortable and there was enough storage space. The boiler wasn’t lit but a quick phone call to the owner and he explained how to light it and it stayed on for the rest of our time so plenty of hot water when needed. The park itself was so peaceful with a mix of static caravans and homes. Easy walk to the beach through the woods and straight into Saltburn. All in all a great location for a traditional break. I’d recommend the caravan and location.
Warm, clean and comfortable. Welcome goodies were very acceptable! Lovely walk to the beach, perfect for dogs! We found loading the car when we left quite tedious as parking is not available beside the caravan and it was sheeting down!
The bed linen and towels were beautiful and beds very comfortable indeed.
In all a good place to stay.
Really comfy, dog friendly caravan
We and our big beach obsessed black lab Milo loved it here, with walks right outside the door. Caravan more than well equipped, and really warm even in winter. Only addition we would make is a hoover/hand vacuum so we could clean up after our lad ;)
8 miles of stunning, sandy, clean beaches with surfing voted in the top 10 surfing destinations in the country. A 5 minute walk through the woods to the beach and pier, offering beach side shops, fishing, surf hire, toilet facilities, amazing fish and chip shop, cafes/pubs and the historic cliff lift.
