You can now experience Wales' best kept tourism secret, the South Wales strip between the coast and the Valleys. Ten minutes drive from the M4 motorway junction 36. Situated in the medieval hill top village of Glynogwr with panoramic views overlooking the Ogwr Fach Valley, it is ideally located for visitors to experience numerous local outdoor activities or sample the excitement of the city of Cardiff. At the heart of the village is the church of St Tyfodwg named after the 6th century Welsh Saint. Glynogwr Lodge looks out over the Earls of Dunraven estates, Mynydd-y-Gaer (Wyndham-Quin families of Dunraven Castle). Mynydd-y-Gaer is said by some people to be the burial place of King Arthur, at the now ruined church of St.Peters-Super-montem. (Read, David Nash Fords, Early British Kings). A mile walk from the lodge is the Lakeside farm park, with a trout fishing lake, small holding petting farm, children’s play area and a cafe/ restaurant. A mile to the west is the village of Blackmill.

Fantastic Accomodation 5*
This home was fantastic. It offers everything you need and more with luxurious fittings and furnishings. There is lots of space to relax and eat with spectacular views from the dining area and bedrooms. Every part of the house is finished to a very high standard. The hot tub is a great touch for relaxing after a busy day out.
We had a very warm welcome from David and he allowed the children to feed the pigs which everyone thought highly amusing. The pigs made us laugh each day! Nothing was too much trouble and David also offered lots of local knowledge and places of interest.
All in all this was a fabulous break with that luxurious touch we would highly recommend it!
