The beach is ideal for swimming and popular for wind surfing, paddle boarding and kite surfing. It is the same beach as West Wittering but in a less crowded and more peaceful section of the beach. You can walk along the beach for miles, all the way to the famous East Head Dunes which is owned by the National Trust.
The local shops are in East Wittering, a 5 minute drive away. There's a fantastic local butchers and fishmongers with the catch of the day, and a well stocked Co-op with most of the day to day items that you might need. Waitrose and M&S are in Chichester about a 20 minute drive away. Waitrose does home deliveries to the house if you pre-order.
The owner has a separate, self contained annexe at the front of the house which she uses from time to time as an office. It has its own entrance and does not intrude on your privacy. The property manager, Marilyn, lives nearby and is always on hand to help if needed.
