A luxurious 2 bedroom penthouse apartment situated on Phase 2 of the prestigious Roda Golf Resort. Extremely well equipped with everything you need for a perfect self-catering holiday. The property is designed throughout with comfort in mind. Offering a peaceful, secure location, ideal for families and golfers. There is a furnished balcony and large private rooftop solarium with sun loungers and stunning views. The apartment is fully air-conditioned and has central heating. It is minutes walk from the clubhouse that boasts bar, restaurant and a nightclub. The white sandy beaches of the Mar Menor are only a 5 minutes drive away as are the many shops, restaurants and bars of Los Alcazares. The area enjoys a traditional Spanish feel - far removed from the Benidorm style holiday.

About Ian McQueen

We have owned this property from new. To date we have only stayed there about two weeks a year, therefore it is still like new. We chose this property because of the beauty of the local area. The Mar Menor offers excellent sun bathing and the whole area is traditional Spanish and not 'Benidorm'. We are not golfers and you don't need to be to enjoy an excellent holiday at this Resort. We live in the Brecon Beacons and as beautiful as it is it's nice the feel the Spanish sunshine on our backs.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment benefits from Central Heating for the cooler months as well as Air-conditioning for the height of summer making it suitable for year round comfort. The apartment is located near to the clubhouse with shops, restaurants, bars, cycling trails, tennis courts all nearby. We are only 5 minutes away from the many blue flag sandy beaches of the Mar Menor and within easy access to the motorway and the airport. The resort is gated with controlled access and 24hr security patrol. Cot and high chair can be provided on request. Also a Welcome Pack. Outside: The apartment is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and one of the many large communal pools sits directly below. A large balcony is located from the living room with table and chairs for 4 people. The penthouse also has a huge roof top solarium over to La Manga in the Mar Menor. The rooftop comes complete with 4 luxury sun loungers. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment will be cleaned prior to your arrival and all linen and towels except beach towels are provided. The apartment will be cleaned after your departure. Other: Large, secluded, private rooftop solarium for sunbathing boasting stunning views across the countryside to the coast.

Great Spacious Apartment at Roda Golf Resort

Great spacious, modern and clean apartment with everything a family or holiday stayers could need. Lots of uk TV channels for all ages, books and music. Great position with choice of two great pools. Apartment stays cool whilst rooftop space has sun all day long for sunbathing. Addition of a BBQ would be great too. We loved our stay as it felt as good as being at home so no missing the 5* hotel as this was a great alternative. Clean and secure resort with lovely golf course. The clubhouse is a short walk approx 8 mins through the shortcut but take a hire car for, Cartegena with its lovely harbour restaurants and shops 23 km away. La Zenia shopping centre is good just down the AP7 too. Al la Carte menu is fab at the clubhouse with cocktail bar til late too. In/Out dining at clubhouse in picturesque surroundings. Murcia square has some amazing restaurants you must pre book for the Italian one and Hemmingways they are the best. Loved our stay and highly recommend apartment, the management team especially Mick and the resort and other residents and resort security and maintenance. Owners were a pleasure as well. If you come by car from Alicante airport and not San Javier then it takes an hour on AP 7 one road with two sets of tolls at 3.70 euro per toll.

Perfect sun trap on the solarium

A great, quiet place to stay for a complete relaxing holiday.

The excellent clubhouse is 12 minutes walk away for good food and wifi. Good restaurants and shopping nearby, all within walking distance.

Cartegena is well worth a visit, we went on the local bus, as we didn't hire a car as the airport is only a 15 minute taxii ride away.

Fabulous location !!

What a great apartment, everything we needed, well equipped and well maintained. There is under ground parking which we found really useful to keep the car cool. This is the perfect base for exploring the region. We spent the days visiting some great places including Cartegenna, Fonts Algar Waterfalls and La Zenia for shopping. Further afield you can visit Murcia and Valencia. Los Alcazarres has the typical strip of restaurants, however there are a few restaurants that we loved Rosalinds on the Roof Top, Camelions for tapas (very popular with the Spanish) and you must visit Santiago de la Riberia for a typical Spanish resort. Plus locally Roda Bar is very popular with the Spanish and has a great Tapas menu. The beaches on the Mar Menor are safe for little ones. But if you want a bit of action Player de la Horrandada has some fantastic waves most days. We have stayed on quite a few golfing complexes and this was by far the best. The amenities were fab and the pools clean and convenient. The local supermarket Lidl is just around the corner. You can hire a bike if you want to explore the area. The resort is 10 minutes from the airport but you don't have any air traffic noise. This really is a great place to stay and we will be coming back. Thanks Ian for letting us use your apartment. Fantastic Value

I'd like to thank you for letting our us use your excellent penthouse apartment. It was well equipped and well placed to enjoy the beautiful area around Murcia. The pool and grounds of the resort were well attended and we took full advantage of the rooftop area and furniture to catch the early morning sun. I've stayed a number of times in the area but your apartment and the resort were by far the best. Would love to return and have recommended the apartment to our family and friends...hopefully they'll have the sense to listen. Great holiday, thank you!! John, Cheryl and kids.

Delighted with apartment, very we'll equipped and furnished. Swimming pool close to apartment. Golf course excellent and very helpful staff in clubhouse. Shop on resort adequate but as we had a hired car, we went to the local supermarket. Having a hired car essential if you want to see a bit more of the beautiful area around Roda.

The resort is approx 3.5km from the golden sandy beach of Los Alcazares which has an attractive promenade close to the town center. The Mar Menor (Minor sea) is a warm salt-water lagoon which does not exceed 7m in depth. Close by are many lovely beaches on the Mediterranean Sea.


The resort is conveniently located a 10 minute drive from Murcia (San Javier Airport), which is serviced by many budget airlines from the UK. Alicante Airport is approx 50 minutes drive. Car hire is recommended if you wish to explore further afield.


Los Alcazares is just a few minutes away by car but also within walking distance.

La Manga and Cartegena are 50 minutes drive. There are many interesting and historic places to visit all within an hours drive.

Further Details:

There is a small shop on site for essentials and a number of large supermarkets and shops in nearby Los Alcazares. The best shopping centers are at Dos Mares, in San Pedro and Es Pacio, Mediterraneo, Cartegena.

There are a number of fine restaurants in the area, most have outside dining areas.

The water and the mud in the Mar Menor have a high concentration of minerals which have been found to carry healing powers for people suffering from arthritis, rheumatism, tendinitis, joint and skin ailments.
