Lovely spot and wonderful hosts!

  • 4 of 5

Alison and David live right next door and are very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. The land surrounding is part of a national trust, and the woods are lovely to explore. When we arrived after a very long day of travel from Galway, the promised eggs, milk, coffee and cake were there to greet us - a thoughtful and delicious touch that made us feel right at home. The house is quirky and comfortable, and the garden is lovely. The wifi is very spotty, so unplug if you can - this is the perfect spot for it! It's an easy drive to the charming town of Nairn and its beautiful beach, or to Cawdor Castle, Culloden and the Clava Cairns. We also spent a day exploring Loch Ness, from Urquhardt Castle to Fort Alexander. We will always treasure our memories of the beatiful Highlands and our wonderful hosts! Thank you again, Alison and Dave, for a delightful visit!

“Wonderful House Wonderful People!”

  • 5 of 5

This house is great for a family stay. Kitchen had all the necessary pots, pans, dishes, etc. to keep everyone feed, and the washer and dryer were so convenient. Beds were comfortable, and the shower was awesome! Very clean and well kept! Owners were helpful and nice and made us feel at home. Alison's apple cake and David's advice were wonderful!

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Alison and David's lovely country property was a pleasure. We were a family of six (three generations). The ground floor bedroom, WC and shower room worked perfectly for my parents. My husband and I and the (adult) kids stayed upstairs in the other two bedrooms with the full bathroom to share. Everything we needed was right at hand and Alison's welcome cake was scrumptious. The fresh eggs from their chickens were really appreciated too. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for a great place to call home while we were on our holiday from Canada! Kerry and Family.
