We loved this Villa. The views are breathtaking and we sat on the patio each morning for coffee and breakfast and each evening when we returned home. Giovanni was very helpful before we arrived and arranged porters to take our luggage up to the villa. The cost was 15 euro per bag and it was well worth it. He met us where the van dropped us off and took us to the villa. He gave us a tour and reviewed everything with us. He also gave us a bottle of his own wine, which was very good. The villa has 3 levels. Giovanni's sister lives on the lower level, we rented the 2nd level which had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a smaller unit on the top level. Each villa was very private and had it's own entrance. In addition to the large terrace shown in the photo with the colorful table, there was also a balcony off the living room and master bedroom and a small balcony off the other bedroom. There was 1 full bathroom and a separate room with a very large shower and another room that could be classified as a half bath with a sink and toilet. The kitchen is well stocked and there are 2 buffets in the living room with ample dishes, glasses, bowls, and serving trays. We had 1 evening where it rained and the 4 of us were very comfortable in the living room and dining room. There is a TV, along with a DVR, but we did not use it. With that magnificient view, there was no need for television. We had breakfast and dinner at the villa quite a few times. There is a fabulous bakery at the bottom of the stairs on Via Pastea called Angelo Pasticceria that has the best pistachio croissants. They have lots of wonderful choices for breakfast and as you come back to the villa later in the evening, you can stop for dessert. If you don't want to walk down the stairs after a long day you can go to Hotel Conca d'Oro for a wonderful dinner with a great view or stop by Vini & Panini at the base of the steps to the Duomo for groceries. If your order is over 30 euros, they will deliver your groceries to you at no cost. You can even schedule when you want the delivery. They have a great selection of wine. Another grocery store we used was LaTerria. Their homemade meatballs were outstanding! They are very well stocked too and will also deliver. We loved staying at this villa and have the best memories from our trip. As the sun sets and people come out to eat, we could hear musicians outside serenading the diners. Our favorite was listening to LaBamba!
The most amazing view in the world!!!
We loved Giovanni, he was so lovely and kind. The property was amazing, we relaxed on the balconies in the mornings, we had so much room!!!! You get used to the steps, in fact, it's great for you! We would remember to never come home empty handed. I will never forget how blessed we were to find this place. When we arrived, we gave him a call, he gave us directions, also the recommendation of using the luggage porters to bring our luggage up to our Villa...worth the 20 euro a bag!!! He was there to meet us at the cave, walked us up to our Villa and showed us our accommodations. Any questions, he would be there to answer our calls and come take care of any problem. He made a beautiful gesture of giving us a bottle of his home made wine. We would recommend this place for a family or a friends getaway. You will think you're in heaven!
Outstanding property in great location
The villa is lovely. A few things to add to other reviews. The steps give it a bit more privacy and seclusion that might be expected. You are very close to good restaurants and shops - but you are also tucked away. It has great space - plenty of room on the terrace - but also a couple of balconies. The views are fantastic but it is also easy to do you own thing. We were a mixed party with people working, relaxing, reading and so on. We found most days we wanted to get back and unwind on the terrace - but it was easy for people to do things without getting on top of each other. Definitely well above average accommodation in a great setting. My advice would be to make sure you carry items back with you every time - water, beer, breakfast etc.
We really enjoyed our stay in Positano. The villa was light, airy and spacious and well equipped for holiday living. The terraces are a bonus and of course the views over the bay and the town of Positano are fantastico!. The steps (especially from the beach) up to the villa are challenging in the heat and fitness is a consideration. Take your time and all will be well. If you are driving to the villa beware, even with a discount (arranged by Giovanni) it cost 20 euros per day to park! If we visited the Amalfi coast again we would take public transport. It's easy to get about by bus and boat,
Quiet with great view
Absolutely loved the home. Beware of the steps though.
We were really impressed with this place. The views are absolutely stunning! We sat out on the deck almost the entire time we were "home". Giovanni was amazing. He even helped book us transportation to and from our destinations.
We will be back!
