Modern and trendy. Refurbished in 2012. Each bedroom sleeps two. Master bedroom has a double bed. Free safe. Singles bedroom has two single beds. Inbuilt wardrobes. Windows are double glazed. Air-conditioning. The bathroom consists of bath with shower, sink, and wc. Clean modern look. The kitchen is funtional, provided with electrical cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine, dish washer, iron and ironing board.

Lounge includes 32" flat TV screen, all English and Irish channels. BBC, ITV, Sky and sports channels included.Setanta for the Irish. TV 5 for the French.

It leads out to a private garden with patio chairs, table and sunbeds.

Bed linen and towels are included, and apartment is cleaned on entering and when you vacate. Longer periods, a weekly clean up and bed linen/towel change is included.

To keep prices competitive, cleaning is restricted, however, additional cleaning can be arranged for an extra charge with the local agent on the grounds.

About the property

Old Village in Vilamoura

The apartments are located in a lovely ,charming compound, near but not on top of the pools.

The ground floor offers a bush-fenced gated garden, making it safer for couples with small children, and ideal for older people who do not manage stairs so well. On the terrace, it has a table for outside meals and sunbeds with convenient parasols.

The apartment is south facing, so it gets sunshine all day. The umbrella is called for as the sun can get very hot outside. It is placed at the beginning of the Village, 2A Garden Square.

Indoors, there is AC very efficient and silent to cool or warm up the property.

The 1st floor property is also south facing. In addition to the patio on the first level, it has a roof top terrace, with chairs, tables sun beds and umbrellas.

This apartment is slightly larger then the ground floor apartment, and it is right at the back of the village, for those who know it, 6B Village square . Indoors it has AC to cool or warm up the place.

About Carlos Augusto Sampaio Eraclides

I am Portuguese and live in Lisbon/Vilamoura. The properties were purchased by my family some years back. I have since renovated and redecorated them, to make it a confortable place for myself and of course suitable for you as my guests. You cannot please everyone, but generally speaking, the properties have a touch of my personal clean modern taste.

I went to University in the U.K. at Keele University, then. Therefore, I speak good english and Portuguese of course and I can communicate in French and Spanish if necessary. I understand both cultures and mentalities, and, can assure you that the Portuguese are extremely friendly and Portugal over all, is still one of safest places to travel and have a relaxing holiday.

The Old Village is one of those places you fall in love with when you first arrive. Some people are known to stay in the compound the entire holiday! Its unique cobbled streets and stunning gardens are very pleasant, and it still has to offer bars pools restaurants and a supermarket. Many weddings take place here at one of the 5 restaurante available.

What makes this apartment unique

The architecture is ideal. It is based upon an Old European Village, with cobbled streets and low buildings with terraces to enjoy the Algarve sunshine. All my properties have sunbeds.

Notes on accommodation: Should you have any problems to be taken care, I am represented by one of the agencies on the grounds, which will take care of any mishappenings if I am not available. Extra cleaning can be arranged with them. However, as I live in Vilamoura and Albufeira, I am available most of the time. Outside: There are 3 pools. Gym, childrens play ground, well kept gardens, restaurants, cafes, bars, and the characteristics cobbled streets of the Old Village and its charming gardens. Note that the condominium charge 1.5 euros per morning or afternoon for the sunbeds by the pool. This is not in the owners control! The centre of Vilamoura is about 15 min. walk away and there is a ground train that passes by the O.V. and to and from the beaches and Marina areas. Taxi rides are cheap. About 4 to 5 euros.

lovely apartment, in quiet area with our own garden with sun loungers, tables chairs etc, apartment had everything in it that you could possibly want for a holiday, including lots of homely extras such as cleaning products, coffee, sugar etc. Owner met us on arrival and explained everything to us wifi, air con etc. Old village is really beautiful and has everything in it, 3 pools, supermarket and restaurants, no need to leave old village if so desired. Marina only 10-15min walk max unless you have small children or elderly people. Would highly recommend Old Village and this apartment. Just one point:- the pin marker (thumbtack marker) on the map shows this apartment near the main pool, its actually situated nearer the smaller of the 3 pools (just beside the roundabout) but this didnt bother us as its only a min walk to the main pool and infact it worked out better for us as it was quieter

Due to ryianair we arrived a day late this was no problem to Carlos he was there to welcome us on our arrival the apartment is superb close to the princess garden pool and restaurant 2 min from the supermarket you get the sun all day in the garden it was a fantastic place to stay and we have booked for next September I cannot rate this place high enough there was 4 adults and still had plenty of room. Carlos was very helpful and provided us with everything we needed 5 stars from us👍😁

Booked our annual 2weeks holiday through owners direct with Carlos,,,he was amazing from day one,,,emails were answered speedily. Carlos arranged our pick up and return trips to airport forus ,,,he also arranged to meet us on our arrival at the old village. Carlos property was also amazing and clean ,,,he had everything in the property that was needed. We were extremely pleased with Carlos and would highly recommend him to our friends and family and to anyone else who would be thinking of booking with him 10/ out of 10 for Carlos and the old village

Ideally situated close to a lovely pool, bars, restaurants and supermarket

Carlos was so helpful. He carried both mine and my cousins cases. The apartment was really well equipped and was very clean. The parasol was damaged due to high winds but Carlos bought us a new one the next day. We had a very hectic week attending a family wedding in the old village square and it was lovely to have the peace and quiet the apartment provided.

The Old Village is within 20 minuite walk from the marina. It is close to 2 main beaches, the Marina and Falesia beaches, they are located on the left and right sides of the marina. Sunbeds and parasols at the beach are more expensive.

Quarteira also offers a beach and it is about 5 kms away.


Vilamoura is central Algarve. The nearest airport is Faro. A 30 min. drive away. About 25 euro drive transfer cost.


Faro airprt 30 kms

Albufeira village 15 kms

Quarteira village 5 kms

Guia Shopping Centre 20 kms.

The old Village is a compound that offers more then the average place one is used to. It Offers WI FI, a supermarket, keep fit machines, 4 or 5 bars and restaurants, the lovely gardens, 3 swimming pools a play groung for children and an outdoor fitness facilities.

The centre of Vilamoura, which is about a 15 minute walk away, it has supermarkets, restaurants, bars, banks, post office and the Marina where it all happens. Lounges and restaurants one after the other. Prices are average.
