Enclosed by four miles of beaches and coastline, privacy is guaranteed in this unspoilt marine sanctuary, with its abundant variety of wildlife and rare birds. One can walk to the coast/beach in under 5 minutes, you can in fact walk the around the whole island in just over two and a half hours.
A car is reccomended however there are numerous ways of getting onto Osea island. By Train - take the train from London Liverpool street to Witham station and then a taxi journey to the island. By car - just under two hours from london and drive over the Roman built tidal road. Of course for the less adventurous or if you miss the low tide, there is a water taxi , which can hold up to six people and that can take you across.
