About Robin Moore
Retiring after nearly 30 years of owning award-winning pub-restaurants in the UK and with our children all grown-up with good careers, it was time to realise a long-held dream! We bought our home in 2009 and after renovations including new roofs on the house and The Rose Barn, we decided to offer holiday lets. Our first year in 2012 saw the Barn busy for 13 weeks which was a great start. We really enjoyed our first year and met some lovely guests. We have tried to make you a home from home. In our spare time (not much) we enjoy walking, belong to two art clubs, and exhibit locally, attend French Lessons and Robin, as well as singing in 3 local choirs also teaches singing.

Why Robin Moore chose Genouillac
In the UK we lived in Fenland in East Anglia. We love pastoral scenery and in particular this area with its rolling hills and valleys and lovely deciduous woodland was a major improvement on the flatlands of Cambridgeshire. The climate is temperate and although it can be beautifully warm in the summer, it doesn't normally get to "scorchio" levels. Winters are short and despite the odd cold snap much more bearable than in the UK. It feels remotely rural but in fact we're close to many local amenities - 10 minutes to local supermarkets and within easy driving distance on good quiet roads to all of South West France. The proximity of Limoges airport, only 35 minutes away now that the Chabanais bypass has been recently completed, means we can fly to visit family in Ely in only four hours door to door (on a good day!)
What makes this Cottage unique
You'll benefit from the attention to detail that 30 years in the hospitality industry has taught us. We offer simple, comfortable clean facilities and we try to provide the equipment and comfort that you'll need on holiday - even an electric blanket! For those of you for whom cooking the local ingredients is part of your holiday fun, you'll be pleased to know that the kitchen is well-equipped. We've all been to those places with nothing but a bent teaspoon and a blunt kitchen knife - so this time you'll not need to clog the car up with your favourite personal cooking equipment!
