Very small house in beautiful surroundings
The lodge is nice but very small. The lodges in the holiday park are very close together, leaving little privacy. Reception by the owner was nice, with some groceries to start us off.
The surroundings are beautiful, though, with lots of nice places for walks and eating/drinking.
1st of 2 week stay at edgerley
Very comfort cottage with all facilities close at hand. Cottage comfortable, well laid out, all bits and bobs provided, neat and clean. Such a lovely area, so quiet you wouldn't know there are neighbors. Other residents friendly. Laundry facility great - clean and very easy to use.
Close to Guilford and surrounding villages plus all shopping, local eateries etc.
Beautiful Lodge in the Surrey Hills
We stayed in the lodge during August and couldn't fault it. It was perfect for our needs as we used it as a base for Thorpe Park, Chessington, Legoland and Harry Potter World, all of which were within 30 mins - an hour away. We also managed a beautiful walk through the woodlands to the picturesque village of Shere. The Lodge itself was beautiful and the added extras provided by Dawn and Art, such as milk, washing up liquid etc, were all so thoughtful. The Park itself is quiet and tranquil but that was just what we needed after full days out at theme parks. You definitely need a car to get out and about, unless you are planning walks/cycling. The nearest pub was a little pricey but the food was delicious. We ate in most nights or grabbed a takeaway and enjoyed some family time playing board games. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lodge. Thank you Dawn and Art for a fabulous stay.
Lovely lodge and fully equipped
Stayed here so a friend from New Zealand could see her friends from her old haunt and was really impressed. All the guests mentioned how great the lodge and is that they didn't know this was available locally. The facilities were fantastic and we made use of the pool as much as possible. Would recommend this to everyone interested in seeing some of the country side around the area... so much to see and do if you like the outdoors. Thanks again D&A
