The Old Chapel is a prominent building in the Village of Horton, on the road to Pewsey.
Check in from 12 noon, check out by no later than 12noon please.
It is easily accessible (800 yards to the bus stop) by bus 49 from Swindon rail station and 35 minutes by car from the M4. Horton is on the edge of the world-heritage listed Avebury area, renowned for its pre-historic stones and enigmatic crop formations, with easy access to canals, pubs, Ridge-way walking on the Marlborough Downs and close to Stonehenge and Lacock village (of TV and Harry Potter fame). Bath and Glastonbury are easy day trips. Devizes is a lovely market town with many pubs, restaurants and festivals.
The modern re-construction of The Old Chapel is of high quality and with good insulation, such that the low-density passing traffic is scarcely audible within the building. In many ways, the experience is of a modern apartment rather than a village cottage, and this suits the present owner perfectly. It is my holiday home in England and I have equipped it well.
