This ground floor 2 bedroom apartment is located just 10 minutes walk from the sandy beach of the Arenal and has secure parking facilities. The Mediterranean is just across the road and bars/restaurants are just a short walk away. This apartment has 2 bedrooms, lounge a well equipped modern kitchen and dining room incorporated in the large glazed balcony. The complex is secure with electronic gates.

About The Owner

I live in England with my wife. We both work full time, but get out to Spain as often as time restraints allow us. Well who knows, if we win the lottery we'll be out there all the time. But at the moment work pays to get out there.

Why The Owner chose Bahía de Jávea

We purchased the first apartment in the early 80's on the Costa Blanca as it's accessable by car as well as by plane. We have grown so fond of Javea, within the family we now have 3 apartments and 1 bungalow. All are rented out on a regular basis. Javea is just over an hour away from 2 airports, with daily flights from most UK airports. As it's a little further away from the airports it's a little more exclusive and only has 3 small hotels in the area. Javea has a really friendly feel and is very popular with Spanish holiday home owners. Notes on accommodation: Due to the apartment location it's ideal for families and those choosing not to hire a car. Well behaved pets can be accommodated. The following are also provided: Ironing board and iron, hairdryer, electronic safe, mobile gas fires, portable room fans. All lets are inclusive of electric. Cots, highchairs, bedguards and a camp bed can be provided if required. Outside: The property has a communal seating area at the front overlooking the Med. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is cleaned before guests arrive with linen and towels provided. Additional changes can be accomodated at an additional charge. Had a lovely stay , it was a lovely apartment close to the beach and restaurants. Really impressed with how easy it was booking the property . I highly recommend it.

If /when we go to Javea again we would use this apartment again .....subject to availability

The ground floor apartment was adequately furnished and being January we had to use the calor gas fire for heating and for hot water . The apartment is in an ideal area for cafes /bars and restaurants and access to the beautiful surrounding areas , and the sea is across the road .We were able to park our vehicle within the car park of this block of apartments which was a real bonus .

Below Average

A shower where the hot water only works if you open the kitchen sink tap..... a balcony cluttered with stuff... an awful smell of mould everytime the wardrobes were open... a safe that was locked and couldn't be used.... even the spare blankets were curled into a ball and chucked in the wardrobe.... probably was too hard to fold them and make them presentable..... a carbon monoxide alarm that kept beeping for days due to low batteries......

No need to say that from the 100's of houses for rent in Javea... this is one I will not be renting again.

Owner's Response: Very sad that even though we have a 24 hour contact number back to us in the UK and a representative in the town the first we know about any issues with this rental is through a review. The hot water in the shower has not malfunctioned with previous renters or any since. The balcony 'stuff' consists of beach chairs and mats plus children's beach toys which are provided for the use of our guests. Here we also store the vacumn, ironing board, mop bucket and a fire for the winter months as they are out of the way and do not intrude on guests wardrobe space. The issues with the wardrobe, closed safe and replacement battery in the carbon monoxide alarm could have easily been rectified very quickly if we had been notified by our local representative. And the blankets are rolled up in the wardrobe rather than folded for ease of storage. All these issues could have been rectified very quickly had we/local representative been contacted.

Bonjour....Bien mais certaines choses a revoir...Pas d'allumettes pour se servir la gaziniére...pas d'éponge pour faire la vaisselle....Pas de WIFI pour l'ordi et tél.port....Pas de chaines Françaises...Toute la vidéo tec.en anglais.(Rien en français) pour terminer des cafarts de temps en temps...A par ça tout va bien..Merçi..

Owner's Response: Merci pour votre avis. Nous apprécions vos commentaires car cela nous aide à nous améliorer. Nous allons changer le pack de bienvenue pour inclure des allumettes et une éponge de cuisine. Au cours des 2 dernières années, nous avons essayé d'installer WIFI mais il y a des problèmes. Finalement, il sera installé. La télévision française devrait être disponible une fois Internet installé. Les cafards sont malheureusement communs en Espagne, mais cela ne signifie pas qu'ils devraient être acceptés. L'ensemble du bloc est traité une fois par an au début de l'été dans le cadre des frais de la communauté. Thank you for your review. We appreciate your comments because it helps us improve. We will change the welcome pack to include matches and a kitchen sponge. For the past 2 years we have tried to install WIFI but there are problems. Eventually it will be installed. French TV should be available once the internet is installed.

No volvería

Estuvimos cuatro noches y la valoración es negativa. Es cierto que el precio es muy asequible y no esperábamos gran cosa, pero hay unos mínimos y la estancia no fue en absoluto confortable.

- Lo mejor es la ubicación, que es excelente, al lado de los bares de salir y a dos pasos de la playa de rocas (y 5 minutos andando del arenal). Se puede aparcar sin problemas.

- Sin embargo, la casa estaba sucia (tazas y cubiertos sucios, instrumentos de cocina oxidados., pelusas debajo del sofá...) y hasta tuvimos que solicitar una fregona porque no había.

- Tuvimos cucarachas varias noches (debe ser algo normal porque había varios botes de Cucal en la cocina).

- No había agua caliente porque se invita a los inquilinos a ser quienes la recarguen en la gasolinera.

- Solo nos dieron un juego de llaves pese a ser 6 inquilinas y pese a haber solicitado a la responsable un juego más, por cuestión de logística.

- Las camas no son cómodas (terminamos por utilizar un colchón hinchable que traíamos).

EN RESUMEN, no lo recomiendo si lo que se quiere es gozar de unos días de descanso y cargar pilas.

Tres bien placé

L'appartement est bien placé, tout est faisable a pied ce qui est très agréable

La cuisine est bien équipé. L'eau chaude peut être difficile à utiliser mais on trouve le truc après 1 ou 2 jours

Sandy beach of Arenal: approx 10 minutes walk. Pebble/rock swimming: across the road. Port beach: approx 2 miles.


Both Alicante and Valencia airports are approximately 60 miles from Javea and both have direct motorway links. Taxis and hire cars are available from the airport. Once in Javea a car is not a necessity.
