Lovely big apartment
We loved our stay at Sue and Harry's apartment. From my first enquiry to arriving at the apartment everything was so straightforward. Sue and Harry were so helpful and were very quick to respond to my emails. The apartment was very easy to find and there was a welcome pack waiting for us which came in very useful. It is very spacious and clean and provided a perfect base for exploring the Eastern Algarve as well as taking advantage of the beautiful beaches. The pool is very large with plenty of sunbeds as well as the sunbeds provided in the apartment. It was a short walk down approx 120 steps to Tavira where there is a big selection of restaurants and bars suitable for all pockets. Tavira is just beautiful. Even the steps back up to the apartment weren't a problem after a couple of glasses of wine. If you don't fancy the steps there are plenty of taxis.
We had a fantastic holiday and would like to say a big "thankyou" to Sue and Harry for letting us use their beautiful apartment.

Lovely, clean, comfortable apartment.
We were familiar with Tavira having been on holiday there a few times now but had not stayed in this apartment/area before. Firstly communication with Sue and Harry from booking until our stay was fantastic...they couldn’t have been more helpful. The apartment is beautiful...lots of space, was spotlessly clean and had everything we required and more (thank you Sue/Harry for the welcome pack). The pool is directly outside the apartment and although slightly busy in the afternoon, it was almost empty until 11am and an enjoyable way to cool off in the summer months. We loved the walk to and from Tavira town centre...it doesn’t take very long but the steps are steep so people with mobility problems or families with young children would benefit from hiring a car. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would look to book this apartment again with no hesitation. Karin & Ken (Scotland)
Perfect Home from Home
This is an exceptional apartment in a beautiful area of the Algarve.
The apartment has everything you could possibly need for a wonderful holiday. It is spacious very well equipt, and perfectly positioned just a few steps away from the large pool and decking area, great for sunbathing.
The apartment was very clean and we were met on arrival by Dulce the property manager who showed us around and answered all our questions.
The apartment benefits from WiFi and cable tv and even has 4 sun loungers for your use should you wish to take advantage of sitting outside in the beautiful garden areas.
Easy to access the centre of Tavira by a number of steps and a lovely short walk along the river or by taxi which we found very efficient when we used them.
A number of supermarkets in the town, the largest being Continente at the Gran Plaza, we used a taxi to get there and back at a cost of €5 each way. There is also a large daily market reachable by foot.
Harry & Sue the apartment owners extremely helpful and very efficient when dealing with apartment booking etc.
All in all we loved Tavira and loved this apartment, we shall definitely stay here again.

Great apartment, kitchen, bathrooms, big living room, close to the pool, well furnished. Good WiFi.
One week in Tavira, the apartment was ideal, a good size, there were four of us, all adults, and it was very well equipped. Close to the pool on the ground floor, would be ideal for kids, and the WiFi always worked, no problems. The grounds outside were lovely, well maintained and clean, you could choose to use the sunbeds beside the pool, or sit up on the raised grassed area to read a book. Ten
minutes walk into Tavira with plenty of shops, small bars and restaurants, lots of choice at nighttime. Dulce, met us when we arrived with a welcome pack which was great. A lovely apartment and location to stay in. Thanks Harry and Sue,....eamonn and Audrey, ☀️👩�🏻�😎�

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful apartment. It was spacious, excellent WIFI reception and satellite tv with numerous channels. The kitchen was very well appointed, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and modern. We would definitely rent this condo again.

Perfect for a refreshing winter break
Excellent facilities in this large apartment.2 good sized bedrooms& bathrooms. Kitchen had all you could need if you wished to have meals in-house. We hit a cold spell,(Jan)so the heating was needed,which struggled to make an impact. Very fast comms with Sue & Harry (owners)who couldn't have been more helpful in the booking procedure. If you have no car, as mentioned in other reviews,getting back can be a problem if you have trouble walking,taxi from town 4/5 euros.
We would certainly recommend the apartment for a break, in this lovely little town.

Regarding the heating, we do have a couple of fan heaters as back up to the heating in winter but these had probably been put away during last summer. Should you decide to visit Tavira again you will be welcome back to our apartment.

Beaches in the Eastern Algarve are long & golden with clear, warm water. Isla de Tavira offers beach cafes, bars, restaurants, long walks & sports activities. This 4km stretch of coast remains unspoilt and peaceful. The island can be reached by a short ferry crossing from Tavira town, ferry taxi from Quatro Aguas or miniature train from Santa Luzia to the beach at Praia do Barril. There are also many other clean, sandy beaches along the 24km coast towards the Spanish border or Faro to the west.
Faro airport is approximately 39km/35mins drive away. Airport transfers can be arranged. Car hire is available at the airport or can be pre booked online for very competitive rates. A rail link from Faro to Tavira operates approximately every 2-3 hours and typically takes 30min.
From the apartment Tavira town is a 5-8 minute walk via steps set into the hillside and along the banks of the River Gilão. The Spanish border is approximately 20 minutes drive to the east along the N125 or the A22 motorway. Faro, Albufeira and Vilamoura are less than 30 minutes drive to the west. There are several unspoilt villages within 10 minutes drive.
Tavira town is a working fishing port and is regarded as the most beautiful and characteristic town on the Eastern Algarve known as "Little Venice" or the "Gem of the Eastern Algarve". Tavira’s history stems back to Roman and Moorish times, with its narrow cobbled streets and Roman bridge spanning the River Gilão. Exploring Tavira is a pleasure, either by foot, horse drawn carriage or the miniature train. A visit to Tavira Island and its beaches is a must.
A plethora of riverside bars, cafés and restaurants specialising in locally caught seafood and traditional Portuguese dishes await your discovery, as does the romantic square, where during the summer months a variety of open air music festivals can be enjoyed.
There is a daily market selling delicious local produce, fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. Alternatively there are several well known supermarkets in the town. A chemist, post office, tourist office, bus/train station, newsagent, ferry point, banks and cash points are all within easy reach. For a 360 degree view of Tavira the camera obscura located within the disused water tower in the centre of the town is well worth a visit. Further afield the nearby unspoilt fishing villages of Santa Luzia, Fuzeta, Cacela Velha and Cabanas are only 5-10 min drive and are also worth exploring. The Ria Formosa Nature Reserve is an ornithologists’ dream where flamingos are regular visitors. The Eastern Algarve boasts long white sandy beaches many of which hold the prestigious blue flag.
Booking Notes: A non refundable 30% deposit is payable at the time of booking. Balance required 8 weeks prior to arrival. Security deposit of £150/200 euro payable with the balance which will be refunded within 2 weeks of departure subject to satisfactory inspection. To comply with insurance regulations we are unable to accommodate pets or smokers. Changeover Day: Changeover day is flexible. We will try to meet your needs with arrival and departure times as much as possible, however during peak periods we request guests vacate the apartment by 10am, unless otherwise arranged. Notes on prices: A non refundable 30% deposit is payable at the time of booking. The balance is required eight weeks prior to arrival. A security deposit of 200 euros is payable with the balance and will be refunded within two weeks of departure, subject to satisfactory inspection.
