CLIFFSIDE, as its name suggests, sits imposingly on the side of the cliffs leading down to the beautiful sandy beach at Trebarwith Strand. Built around 1910, the property has been totally and tastefully renovated during 2016/17. The house offers wonderful sea views from the lounge, garden and most bedrooms. Just a short walk of around three minutes will take you to the beach and the cliff pathways.
The property is the left hand side of the building shown.
The house will comfortably accommodate 5 people (plus 1 on a guest bed) in three bedrooms. One bedroom has a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room (large shower enclosure, basin and WC), another has the option of a zip-link super-king bed or twin single beds. The third smaller room has a single bed with the possibility of an additional pull out single guest bed. Please note with the guest bed out, it would take up most of the space in the room.
Also on the first floor is a bathroom with bath and shower over, basin and WC.
Downstairs is a large, light open-planned lounge dining room with door onto the garden which has a patio area and lawn. There is a wood burner in here plus Sky TV (entertainment package with box-sets) and a Blu-ray DVD player. The adjoining kitchen is well equipped with usual facilities plus dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is also a cloakroom on the ground floor.
Central heating via an oil fired external boiler makes this a cosy property at any time of year.
Electric and oil included in rental charges. Kiln-dried logs and kindling will be provided for the first night of your stay but for the remainder they can be purchased locally.
Bed linen and house towels (not beach towels) provided.
Sorry no pets accepted at Cliffside.
There is a house phone with call advice and unlimited free Wi-Fi.
Please note there is no private parking space at Cliffside, however there is some free road-side parking close-by (50 yards). There is also a public car park just across the road. The car park charges from 9am to 5pm from mid March to the end October (approx). Daily charge is about £7.00 but there are cheaper rates for less than a full day. Best thing to do - get a car park ticket for a few hours when you arrive to take you to 5pm. Then when Trebarwith empties of visitors in the evening, grab a road side free space. If you have days out you need only pay for parking when you get back to the house until 5pm then get back on the road.
As there are several steps up to the property (about 10), it is unsuitable for disabled access or for people with mobility problems.
