About Michael and Debbie Thomas
We purchased the Anchorage in June 2009 and had great fun renovating the property into a beautiful holiday home. The Anchorage is a hidden treasure, a hop skip and a jump to the beach and with unrivalled sea views. A peaceful spot, yet only 5 miles from the hustle and bustle of Great Yarmouth. Four generations of our family have been visiting this idyllic spot over the last 60 years. We have three young children and to see them play out the front, above the sand dunes, with the waves in the background reminds us of our wonderful childhood holidays in Scratby, which we looked forward to all year. There is something really special about this place. We always feel relaxed here especially after a stressful time at work! The family dog loves to run on the unrestricted beach too!
Michael and Debbie Thomas purchased this Bungalow in 2004
Why Michael and Debbie Thomas chose Scratby
This property was bought to be a second home, with the idea of living there in retirement. We have spent our holidays in this village for over 50 years. Enjoying the beatiful beaches and warm dry summers that Norfolk is famous for.
What makes this Bungalow unique
A stone's throw from the sandy beach and sea, ideal for walking dogs and for children to play. A good base for all the amenities, Yarmouth, Norwich and the Broads can offer for a family fun filled holiday. We personally walk our dog on the beach, my children and grandchildren have grown up knowing this village as their second home. They play safely in front of the bungalow, love to explore the sand dunes and collect sea life from the pools formed when the tide goes out.

Comfortable, well-equipped bungalow, beds were very comfortable and it had lovely outside space and enclosed dog friendly garden. We had a wonderful holiday and our dogs enjoyed it too. Access to the beach was a little adventurous for us as we are rather older but we managed!
Lovely bungalow, had everything that we wish from a holiday home. Nice owner. Lovely secure garden. Perfect place for us.
Lovely 3 bed bungalow only a few short steps to a gorgeous sandy beach. This place is perfect if you have small kids and are looking for somewhere quiet to stay.
