Situated within a private residential setting with veranda overlooking a lush flowering front lawn and access to the rear providing a private lush flowered lawned garden, with seating for outside dining and relaxation. The elevated landscape affords views of the breathtaking Caribbean sea to the west of the property and its location provides an easy 2 minute access to beautiful white sandy beaches. There you will find a truly stunning turquoise sea where you can engage in water-sports, swim with turtles or simply sunbathe. There is horse riding and other activities such as golf at the nearby famous Sandy Lane golf course. There are a plethera of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance or a 5 minute car or bus drive away to the next village of Holetown, which provides local banks, duty free shopping and local nightlife.

Hi Marcia,

Had a fantastic time in Barbados. The accommodation was ideal for me and my two children. The neighbours were all very friendly.The local transportation (buses) were regular and an experience I will not forget too quickly. It is easy to get to Bridgetown and other places on the island. I must say the beach was perfect. Went snorkeling at the shipwreck and swam with the turtles. I would recommend this property to friends and family and would stay there again.

Notes on accommodation: Nearby babysitting on request and medical services 5 minutes drive away in the next village of Holetown. Outside: Open access to veranda from the living area, with table and seating, providing views overlooking a lush flowering front lawn. The elevated landscape of the property also affords stunning views from the veranda of the Caribbean flora and fauna and of the breathtaking Caribbean sea to the west of the property. From the utility room there is access to a lush private lawned rear garden, which provides outside seating for dining, relaxing and sunbathing. There are also drying facilities, all set within a tropical flowered and planted landscape. Utility Room: A large utility room with washing machine, large sink, iron/ironing board access to the rear garden and outside drying facilities. Additional chairs provided for outside seating. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and towels provided. Maid service provided. Please note beach towels are not provided.

Well located and equipped house. The communication with the owner was excellent and fast.

100% happy with the house. We stayed at this property with our extended family. It was 7 of us as Marcia kindly offered to add a bed for the 11 year old girl. The house was big enough for the 7 of us. Marcia was really helpful and arranged or transport to and from the airport for us. She always replied straight away.

We had a slight problem with the water pressure but she got someone to come and fix it immediately even though it was Sunday ! What a great service!

We loved our stay. Kitchen is very well equipped, Jenny who comes to clean is a lovely lady and we were just 5 min from the beach.

My only recommendation is to add a barbecue to the garden. There is a fish market 10 min from the house and for us there is nothing better than bbq fish .

We would definitely come back here.

Lovely villa on a quiet street - close to beach

My husband and two young daughters (1.5 years and 3 years) stayed at the villa for a month. It was great and we truly enjoyed getting to know Marcia's extended family, Jenny became a surrogate grandmother to our daughters. Paynes Bay beach is about a 10 minute walk - and it's a wonderful place to swim with Hawsbill turtles.

The villa is spacious and well-appointed with air-con in each of the bedrooms. We enjoyed mangos from the tree and watching the monkeys in the mango tree.

As we have young children we cooked every day - the kitchen is reasonably well appointed, and did the job. We enjoyed lunches and dinners on the shady veranda. The internet was also very fast, which was great.

Highly recommend the Thurs-Sat evening fish fry just down the road. Great value, but more importantly excellent food.

A wonderful holiday and we hope to visit again.

Spacious house 5 minutes walk from Paynes Bay

Spacious house, in a quiet lane 5 minutes walk to Paynes Bay, which has a beautiful sandy beach and calm turquoise sea.

Made to feel very welcome by Marcia's extended family who live close by. Spacious house, well furnished and equipped, spotlessly clean. Particularly enjoyed getting up early for a walk and a swim and then having a leisurely breakfast on the shady veranda and taking a picnic back to the beach. There are lots of excellent bars and restaurants nearby. Neighbours are very friendly, chickens, monkeys and humming birds like to visit the lovely garden.

Stayed with my husband and 3 teenage daughters, who are very hard to please. We had a wonderful holiday and were all sad to go home.

The villa is just a 2 minute walk down to the beautiful and breathtaking Paynes Bay beach, situated on the west coast of the Island and known as the "platinum coast" of Barbados, renowned for it's soft, white sandy beaches, turquoise sea and shady palm trees. Ideal for all water sports, sunbathing, swimming and even horse riding!

It is recommended that you take a walk along the coast where you will be enchanted by calm waters, magical flying fish and other nearby beaches such as Sandy Lane.


The Airport on the Island is Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) at approx 15 Kilometres from the villa and about a 40 minutes drive.

The capital Bridgetown is about a 20 minute drive away in the parish of St Michael.

A car is recommended for your sightseeing pleasure around the island, but not essential as there are frequent local buses and a bus stop at the end of the road.

Car Hire is available and can be arranged prior your arrival.


Just a 2 minute walk to the end of the road will find you on the beautiful and breathtaking Paynes Bay beach, known as the "gold coast" of Barbados, for its golden, soft sandy beaches, turquoise sea and shady palm trees. Ideal for all water sports, or for sunbathing, swimming and the odd rum punch or two while you chill out, unwind and admire the views. You can even buy delicious local fish, to take back to the villa, if all that sun, sea and sand has whipped up your appetite!

Further Details:

There is a 24 hour gas station just a 10 minute walk away that has a well stocked mini mart for your convenience. Local supermarkets are a 5 minute drive away in both directions. Too relaxed to cook? No problem the villa is set in an ideal location for local cuisine, with beach bars and restaurants within walking distance.The local buses in Barbados are frequent and there is a bus stop at the end of the road. Truly recommended is a trip on one of the "reggae buses" colourful vibrant and sure to put you in a rhythmic mood! The next town of Holetown is a short bus ride away, providing a post office, local banks and a new retail shopping mall providing duty free shopping, plus excellent bars and restaurants. Fancy a bit of golf or tennis? The villa is situated just 400 yards away from the famous Sandy Lane golf course and 10 minutes drive away from Royal Westmoreland Golf Course and Tennis facilities at the Sugar Hill resort.

Not to be missed is a trip to Bridgetown the Island capital, the island safari tour, Harrisons cave, the islands natural wonder and the many flower gardens.

Also recommended is a sample of the Islands favourite tipples, Banks beer or mount Gay rum, preferably in a local rum shop for added Bajan authenticity.
