Guestbook comments from the owner

A lovely time in this comfortable gite. Lots to do in the local area for ramblers and cyclists. The leaflet on local walks is brilliant. Restaurant de la Tour is great value.

A wonderful 10 days, perfect weather. Lovely gite, very comfortable. Walks around the village were beautiful and very peaceful. Enjoyed the birds in the garden. Thanks for a real French Experience.

Thank you very much for the use of your well-stocked house for two weeks. The pizzeria in Brionne was fab and the staff were very friendly. Night-time pleasure of sitting on the terrace relaxing with wine was enjoyed by us all.

A beautifully located house and great for kids

  • 4 of 5

What a charming location this house is set in and the house it's self was far bigger than we needed, but gave the children plenty of hiding places when playing hide & seek.

The house had everything you need for a stay and there were numerous leaflets on things to do and places to go. The lack of TV was a bonus and every evening we played games as a whole family (it amazes me how I managed to fit in the smallest of hiding places). The Internet was good so that you could plan your day out.

The garden is completely enclosed and once the main gate was shut the 2 year old roamed free and practically lived in the garden.

The village is only 5 minute walk and one of the most picturesque places I have ever been. The food in the village was amazing. For €22 you can have a home cooked 5 course meal.

If you like geocaching this is the place for you. There are liturally hundreds of them, especially along the old railway track.

The house had that authentic country feel about it.

Perfect for a quiet holiday or as a base for trips

  • 4 of 5

Le Bec Hellouin is a beautiful village set in a great part of Normandy. Brionne is less than 10 minutes away and is great for bars/food shopping/market. Three of us stayed at the house for a biking trip and Honfleur and Liseux were easily accessible on great roads. We ate at the house every night and the facilities for cooking are great. Outdoor areas fantastic. Main bathroom top notch. Lounge very comfortable. The bedrooms are a little dated but I know that the owner is planning on updating these. Our stay will be a great memory and I would definitely go back. Would be better with more people which the house could easily accommodate. Sorry for the late review.....a bit busy!

The house is set in one of the most beautiful villages in France and the hoose complements the village. If you are looking for a restful break in the perfect holiday home that has everything you need for a peaceful break then look no further. Our party consisted of two couple in their 50's and 60's and 2 children, one a teenager and one just 20 and we were concerned that the "youngsters" might miss the TV or radio as the house is devoid of these distractions, but they were not missed at all. Access to beauty spots is very easy with most being within 1 hours drive but for a slightly longer time on the road it is werth visiting the D Day beaches, allow yourself a full day, and Bayeux. We also spent a day in Paris, using the efficient and cheap French railways.

Overall a fantastic holiday returning home with batteries fully charged and a yearning to return as soon as funds allow.

Een verrassent leuke woning heel mooi gelegen.

  • 5 of 5
